Best time to gro in FL?

Im new to the state and weather here everyday is like average english summer...thats if its a really good british summer...anyways is there really like the best time to grow in florida or is it just how many hours of light you get that will affect growth patterns?

March to October is usually a full growing season for most of the U.S. Just make sure that the last frost has gone through and that the night temp. doesn't get below 55*. I start early march in atlanta georgia.
