I have a room that is 13x14 I would like to to contain everything in this space, veg growth, flowering, clones, and mothers. anyone have any ideals on how to separate this area without actually erecting walls? I really like zandor's set up and would try to imitate it, if he doesn't mind.

U have plenty of room...assuming that ur dimensions are in feet! for maximum ease ...simply pin a wooden frame along the middle of the ceiling and then continue the frame down the walls to the ground and along the floor so the frame joins up as one and separates the room into two boundries.u can then staple black plastic liner [or anything light proof] this will give a managable partition in which u can block the escape of light and keep a constant bud turnover between the veg room and the flower room[ try downloading 'I Grow Chronic' from the internet it will show you excactly what i mean plus some usefull hydro 'how to' info. if i had that much swpace to play with i would grow far too much ganja!!

Sure you can the 40 plant drip system I use is sold on eBay for about 400 bucks. The cloner is sole as well for just under 100 bucks.

okay, so I split the room down the middle. one side will hold a 40 count drip system for flowering, and the other will hold another 40 count drip system for veg. and a cloner system right? what is the count on the cloner system, how many cloner systems will i need to get the proper rotation going? also zander you had a list of all the equiptment you used for your project, humidifier, dehumidifer, co2 etc. roughly what will be the cost for such a set up? I am serious about duplicating your system. I am a newbie to all of this a little concerned by my lack of knowledge and attempting to this sophisticated system. I just finished reading the cannabis grow bible by greg green. any and all help is greatly appreciated.

If you have a 40 head system in the flower shop you will probably want 40 count cloner ...because a pro flowers from clones right? To get a system like the Zandor's your going to spend some fat money ..but with 40 plants ..in optimum condition...your profits will pay for it in no time (unless u want to smoke all 40+ oz every 2 months) you need to get on the internet and fill a shopping cart to find out excactly what your cost will be...dont over look a carbon air /smell filter...coz that much ganja will STINK! Oh and Greg Greens book is the only book i've ever read 3 times!....what a book.!

Well really it??s 2-40 count top drippers in the flower room with 2-1000w HPS Hortilux bulbs for each unit with air-cooled hoods. You can save some and use a light mover but the extra light is better if you want fast & big.

The veg room has 1-50 count tray, 1-96 count Aeroponics cloner, & 3 mothers. (Well by January they will be 3)

Each room has CO², AC, dehumidifier, carbon scrubber & Sulfur pot. Wall mount fans keep the air moving and cap extreme controllers monitor everything. (But the sulfur pot)

There are several exhaust fans and intake air blowers too. For all the cool hoods I have a 12? vortex that cools all the lights and only the lights. I just built a plenum box to feed the 4? & 6? vent tubes so the exit runs are short and compact.

I hope you have money. It will take about 8-10k to build a setup like that.

You harvest one group of 40 in the flower room every month. You move the best 40 from the veg room to the flower room after you harvest. Then you take the best clones to the veg system.

In about 2 weeks you cut clones again and start all over.

well I have 7k to work with. I am sure there will be incidental costs that I am not aware of yet, not to mention a significantly higher electric bill. I am dead set on getting only quality equiptment. wondering if I should scale it down to one 40 count drip system in flowering room, but that would defeat the whole ideal of croping every 30 days or so right?

could I get around using the cap extreme controllers? I am sensing these are really pricey.

Hey peace.

Your electricity bill should only rise 10-20$ depending on what your Hydro/Electric company charges per kw(kilowatt) 1 kw = 1000w.

You can start with out them sure and you can use only one light with a track mover per system. That will save you 3000w right off the start. My power bill jumped from 90 a month to 600 just so you know.

The controllers are a must at some point but they are about 700-900 each and make life easy.

You can run everything on timers you just need a lot of them but they are still cheaper then one controller alone.

How many you want to grow is up to you, you just ask what I have used. If you want 4-5 pounds every month then that's how you do it. You can start a setup with that budget. You will do a lot of the work yourself but that's the idea.

eBay is a good place to pick up equipment for a good price too. I got a dehumidifier from them for 80 bucks delivered. Saved 400 bucks on it too.

If you want to grow the cycle I'll help you, like I help everyone else who asks. Just be ready to spend money and order some units and get started.

If you are serious email me and I will hook you up with the guy who builds the units and sells them on eBay.

You can always buy an aero 30 or 60 they only cost about 900 bucks I think.

oh my god! I couldn't stand a jump like that in my electricty bill. I assumed (incorrectly I might add) that my bill would triple perhaps, and I would have to sustain that until my factory is fully functional. I guess I won't be imitating your grow any time soon. I am certain there is a happy medium to be found here. I am sold on hydro, I think your friends system is a great deal. I just need a scaleable design where my electric bill would jump just 3 to 4 times initially and as I realize some of the fruits of my labor I could gradually expand it to accomodate a higher elec. bill. Can I email you?

everyone does.

zandor at pot.com

Either tonight or tomorrow morning he said he wil put up a scaled down design for a 400w HPS grow and 9 plants. It is convertable down to a 6 plant grow as well if somebody want's to grow larger the 40" tall plants. I tried to get a price from his last night but what can I say, we passed the bong and kind of forgot.

7 grand spent well should sort you out with a top notch set-up [ especially if you are willing to do some DIY which saves costs]...As long as you pay your electric bills on time 'THEY' will leave you alone[they are buisnesmen and the Police only check out your bills once you are already under investigation!] You might want to think long and hard about heat emisions ...detectable with thermal cameras!..and never tell a fucking soul!!!!!! ...except us ;)

okay let me see if I got this picture right. To produce the super kind bud I am still going to need all the equiptment regardless if it is a 9 count system or a 40 count. on the 9 count system I would just be saving on a couple of less fans, and the light, and the electric bill? Zandor here is my list of equptment taken from one of your posts somewhere on here I am pricing everything and want to know if I am missing anything.

lights
a/c
mylar
carbon filter
dehumidifier
humidifer
co2 tank with regulator
fans oscilating
vortex fans for the hoods..... Is this the same as a squirrle fan?
2 water pumps... not sure if this in addition to the pumps that come with hydro unit.

Untill the Zandor gives the low down...a squirrel fan is an extracter fan for sucking air out of the room, the light coolers should have their own fans built in..If you have a large reservoir the xtra pumps may be of a smaller 'power head' type to keep a mini wave system happening in the res which keeps the nutes well mixed or an O2 pump to keep the solution oxygenated[both optional] .EC and PPM are really the same thing...more important is a ph meter! dont overlook some insulation material to keep the feds from spotting your warm little grow yard![ I just insulated my mums whole house with this new thin NASA technology stuff...not fibre glass[which i removed and as a result i now have unlimited rockwool!]] What lights have you gone for?

hey easy, I missed your early response you were saying if I was willing to do some diy, I am guessing that is do it yourself. I could save some extra bucks? My grow room will be a spare room bedroom downstairs which is already insulated, are you saying i should cover the walls with more insulation? I have been online pricing lights, I want 140,000 lumens though.

Yeh if you just buy a fat pump and some plastic plumbing pipes/t-joints/silicone you can EASILY make an Ebb n Flow system...but for 40 plants a strong pump is essential to get a the drink all the way up the pipe to every plant...But its piss easy....large hydro systems are convenient and pretty to look at...but they are bloody expensive!!! all you need is the above and timer which should cost peanuts..the main part of you budget should go into the things u cant really do yourself ...like make a light cooler and squirrels and carbon filters are dear but 'must have'. I have a 400 watt that kicks out 55000 lumensso two 600 watts should do nicely...get some metal halides for the veg room if you want denser buds that people will buy ...a few cool and warm white fluoros will suffice for the clones untill the are ready for the metal halide!! Happy Days
