hey im really bored sittin on my ass and want to make a bong out of a glass coke bottle, i have a drill and a drill bit but do i need a speacil glass bit or will a regular one work or waht

i think u need a glass drill bit. put a few layers of tape over the spot u want to drill or something and it should work. i duno, do it and tell us how it goes.

I've tried glass coke bottles, and they're really hard to drill. First, the glass is very thick. Second, there's no real point on it that you can get a good angle to enter, except right near the base, and even there it's damn hard to get the angle right.

I've broken 3 or 4 bottles attempting it. My advice? Tape your starting point, go VERY slow, and wear a leather glove.

Are you serious? A large percussive blow against a very small point on a glass bottle will just crack the hell out of the thing. If you buy a glass drillbit, you forego about 1.5 grams of regs, but get a free bong every time you empty a bottle-- hell, you can even sell them to your friends if you want.

Just spring for the drillbit, or learn to blow glass. Aside from those options, I'm afraid you're SOL.

coulsdn't he heat the glass with one of those little torches, i think they usually have a green tank about the size of a football.. just heat the shit otta one spot and you should be able to poke through, unless it's not hot enough. i know it takes a LOT of heat to melt glas but you may be able to soften it up alot.

i used a glass a hammer and a nail

tap,tap ...tap,tap,

dont hit hard, and when u do start to get a lil divet (hole starting) stop..BE EXTREMLY CAREFUL! one wrong move and the hole things wrecked, use a knife with a sharp strong tip...use it like a screw driver and dig into the divet, a hole will soon be dug...be very slow....REMEMBER DON'T USE A LOT OF PRESSURE..takes a long time to perfect...you probly will fuck up on the first one

dont smash it just tap it lightly untill it gose thru, but not too lightly, but not too hard, but make sure its not too lightly

Go very slowly! Like, way slower than you think you need to, and apply hardly any pressure at all, ESPECIALLY when the tip has already broken partially through.

Always drill STRAIGHT into the glass, and not at an angle. Drilling at an angle means you tend to slide, shake, and unevenly grind away the glass, all things that tend to break the glass.

Be creative! There are lots of things you can turn into a kickass bong when armed with a glass drillbit and some patience. I had this really cool glass jar shaped like a snowman (it was from some cutesy farmer's market maple syrup my mom bought) that I turned into a bong--perfect for the holiday season, neh?

It'd be fucking badass to have a glass/ceramic/clay frosty the snowman statue that's cheap and hollow inside, and make a hooka out of it. I mean, how great would X-mas with your friends be if you're in the kitchen with this statue of frosty and four hoses coming out of his hat or something and the weed goes in his charcoal nose or mouth or something?

Get your smallest drill bit, place it where you want the hole, whack it gently with a hammer, then drill through.
