You know, Donnie...you are the 2nd Pats fan I've come across that I actually get on well with ;) I can appreciate the love....and also the support for the Black and Gold all the way from merry old NE :smokin:

We don't have a long tradition of winning, but fans in NE respect old-school, smash mouth football on both sides of the ball, played outdoors in the December cold and snow. I think it goes way back before the AFL-NFL merge , when the locals were mostly all Giants fans.

I believe that football teams take on the personalities of their fans, and Pittsburgh is a seriously blue-collar city, and the team also has that personality.
