I have a Sunlight Supply, Inc. dual ballast (400W MH + 600W HPS).

I've been using it for less than 60 days... so I can't tell you how it works out in the long run. At least not yet. But so far, so good! :)

What do the other 1% consist of...? Homeless folks growing in carboard boxes ?

I dont suppose there are any 1000w ballasts of the same quality your opinion is referring to?

The other 1% only uses 1000w ballast systems and more them 10 of them at one time. Of course I was talking about indoor growing only.

At this time they do not make electronic ballast in 1000w models.

So Zandor, you recommend the Vue over the Lumatek? I was considering a Lumatek, but now you're making me reconsider. What makes it better? I've heard problems on the Lumateks regarding RF interference and it not being compatible with some bulbs, but I understood those to be early problems and that they were fixed now. Are you continuing to hear bad things about them?

Not that I have heard, they had a problem with a frequency converter getting hot and oscillating but that did not last long. It was a supplier problem that was dealt with I was told.

I have a friend who just picked up 30 of them and he loves them.
