Can you OD on THC? My ass friends say you can and here are there 2 reasons... GOD WE ARE STONERS!
1) If you smoke as many lbs of pot you weigh in 24 hrs (Could you imagine trying to hough down 1/4lb in a day let alone 200lbs LOL)
2)If you smoke as much as it takes to feel high, then smoke 120 times that amount... HAHA HE IS SO RETARDED
Well does what does everybody think of my 2 "special" friends.
If you do have any real knowledge on THC OD levels let me know!

Not twenty-four hours. It's ten minutes. Which is impossible...unless...
You can put the marijuana inside a glass enclosure and set it a-blaze, I'm sure you'd die from suffocating before the weed killed you. Wow! What a great way to die. Marijuana overdose.

There was a small news article printed years ago...maybe in the eighties about a man who had tried to smuggle hash oil into the country by swallowing a string of balloons filled with the drug. He was found unconscious and in a near coma in his seat on the plane after it landed. Apparently, at least one of the balloons had ruptured. Can you imagine what he was thinking when he started feeling a little stoned?

Marijuana "Myth"#12. No one has ever died of a marijuana overdose
This is true. It was put in to see if you are paying attention. Animal tests have revealed that extremely high doses of cannabinoids are needed to have lethal effect. This has led scientists to conclude that the ratio of the amount of cannabinoids necessary to get a person intoxicated (i.e., stoned) relative to the amount necessary to kill them is 1 to 40,000. In other words, to overdose, you would have to consume 40,000 times as much marijuana as you needed to get stoned. In contrast, the ratio for alcohol varies between 1 to 4 and 1 to 10. It is easy to see how upwards of 5000 people die from alcohol overdoses every year and no one EVER dies of marijuana overdoses.

Taken directly from the Wikipedia:
THC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrahydrocannabinol) has a LD50 value of 1270 mg/kg (male rats), 730 mg/kg (female rats) orally (administered dissolved in sesame oil). If this were scaled up to an adult human, the lethal dose would be 2.8 ounces for a person weighing 140 lb (76 g for a 60 kg person, or over 1.4 kg [more than 3 lb] of average strength marijuana), rendering unlikely the possibility of an overdose. Studies of the distribution of the cannabinoid receptors in the brain explain why THC's toxicity is so low (i.e., the LD50 of the compound is so large): parts of the brain that control vital functions such as respiration do not have many receptors, so they are relatively unaffected even by doses larger than could ever be ingested under any normal conditions.

you'd have to smoke alot ( hundreds of pounds ); or inject Synthesized THC
Alot of THC ( suprisingly ) is burnt when you smoke a bowl; or smoke a joint
that's why vaporizers realease 4x as much thc, it does damage the THC...

well it's just alot of THC gets lost... it basically combusts... i think a volcano vaporizer or a Super Vapezilla vaporizer ( both $500 ) is a good investment for people who smoke more than a ounce a month.
I've talked to people who use the volcano, they say they used to smoke 3 grams a day, but now only smoke about 1.5 grams a day because the volcano vaporizer works so good.

However, the situation was complicated by the fact that the cannabinoids produced by the electric hotplate vaporizer were unusually high in CBN, leaving 30% less THC as a percentage of the total cannabinoids than with the other smoking devices. Since CBN is not psychoactive like THC, recreational users might be expected to consume more smoke to make up for the deficit. (The situation may be different for medical users, who could experience other, medicinal benefits from CBN). For this reason, it seemed advisable to recompute the performance efficiencies of the vaporizers in terms of THC, rather than all cannabinoids. When this was done, the electric hotplate vaporizer turned out to have a lower THC/tar ratio than the unfiltered joint, while the hot air gun was still marginally higher.
-MAPS/CaNORML vaporizer and waterpipe studies
CBN is an inactive cannabinoid.

It is near impossible to overdose think about it if you smoke about 10 joints in an hour (never tried this) you would be asleep well I would so unless someone was justing making me eat pounds of MJ while I was unconcious. that doesnt make sense but it is impossible.

the only viable way to OD on pot is through a series of injections... erhm unless you cna fit 40,000 times the amount needed to get high into one shot lol
i need to find this shot! :| lol i have to die from pot, i cannot and WILL NOT die any other way! :D

THC Transfer Rate
The MAPS-NORML study provides new information on the efficiency of different devices in delivering THC from marijuana to the user. Previous studies have shown that 60% - 80% of the THC burned in joints or waterpipes is lost in slipstream smoke, adhesion to the pipestem and bowl, pyrolysis, etc. [Mario Perez-Reyes, Marijuana Smoking: Factors that Influence the Bioavailability of Tetrahydrocannabinol, in C. Nora Chiang and Richard Hawks, ed., Research Findings on Smoking of Abused Substances, NIDA Research Monograph 99, 1990]. The percentage of total THC delivered to the user is called the THC transfer rate. The unfiltered joint scored surprisingly well in smoking efficiency, coming in second place with a transfer rate close to 20%. The portable waterpipe did slightly better, and the bong slightly worse. The other devices did notably worse. The vaporizers and electric waterpipe did especially poorly, with transfer rates less than one-third that of the top three devices. Thus, heavy smokers could literally be blowing most of their stash away with bad pipes.
