say for example i had a friend who was growing well over 500 plants and couldn't keep the odor down. What are the best systems/filters and what else should he try. He has great ventilation already.
Thanks

Here's a good Overgrow FAQ to build a carbon filter...
http://www.overgrow.com/growfaq/1509
Build as many as you need... Don't get busted because of odor!
Here's another one...

sorry but there is not going to be any pictures do to the fact im in the US and it is illegal to grow marijuana therefor i would not take any part in it. Besides if we did have a huge growing lab setup underground i would definetely not be posting pics sry man...besides IF we had a lab like this setup then the DEA/FED/all agencies would do anything to catch us...sorry i would love to show off if i actually grew marijuana

Active Carbon filter will take of your odor problem. Either buy one or make one. Depending on the area you may need 2 of them. Cheaper then a lawyer that's for sure.

Yes but you can't put it in the room with the plants. Ozone has it's own odor to my wife anyway.
A carbon scrubber in the room just cleans the air and no odor nothing no smell nothing.

so the way these work is instead of the grow room exhaust leading to an outside vent it leads directly into the carbon filter?

Better yet , which is better...
Filter BEFORE exhaust fan...
Filter AFTER exhaust fan...
sucking or pushing the air?

I prefer to have the air pulled through the carbon scrubber then out of the room. That way there is less chance of an Opps!!

Having grown thunderfuck and the smell was extreemly BAD/gooood I used a simple small swamp cooler to expell the air. Mount it backwards so the cool air goes outside, They make a small on with a moving filter that goes into the water .. I put lysole (sp) in the water and it worked like a charm. I have also used cintrinella with kerosene lamps to mask the smell.
