:(

i got 4 outdoor "juicy fruit" sativa . 5 weeks after the seedling stage, they started flowering , not showing any signs of being males ( balls, banana shaped sacs, etc ), just hairy pistels... i let them keep going. did not prune, bend..i just let it grow naturally. 3 weeks into flowering stage,,,they are now producing seeds! ...looks like theres not much to smoke if it keeps going like this.. have they turned HERMIES? ..if they did..can it be reverted? can i use the seeds for growing? and also , i have 3 new seedlings starting at close proximity...6 meters away..are they going to affect/ contaminate the gender of these new seedlings.? all of them are under full sun.

any clues will be much appreciated guys..thanks a lot in advance. :)

Dude it may not be a Hermie! I find I get from time to time several seeds in my grow!........just for some reason unkown to me, sometimes I get seeds with grows with zero males.....I cut clones and even they sometimes produce seeds, sometimes it may be stress related as well, but the word around is that it's not uncommon for a female plant to produce a few seeds! but a small few perhaps 10 to 15 seeds per female depending on stress or what not,but yet it's not a hermie? ......I harvested a month ago or so and had 40 plants all and all, I say I must have picked atleast 40 to 50 seeds from the whole grow but yet no solid hermie characteristics on the plants almost a seed here and there!...but dude if your plant is covered with seeds it's a hermie....but if thats the case let her or him lol finish up completely bag the seeds and get planting again....the hermie trait may not pass itself onto the seeds.......good luck

Mellow Man,,,,
thanks a lot for the reply bro., you said " ..If the plant is covered in seeds, it`s a hermie." well, now i know,,one is 100 per cent hermie. in one small bud, looks like i will be getting 10 solid seeds,,,the main cola lower portion , gezz,,,just a bundle of seeds.the other 3, only the lower buds are seem to be making clusters of seeds...the main colas looks pretty clean. that remains to be seen though.
they are supposed to be an outdoor variety but maybe they got stressed by a full sun . we are getting 30 - 35 degree celcius ( dunno what that is in fareinheit ) on clear days. i may have to shade them up a bit. i intend just let them grow to the fullest if they will not affect/ pollinate..my new batch close to them... will they?..thanks again bro.

It might have got pollenated by someone else's plants.

Many sativa strains have a genetic propencity to produce seeds even when it's not pollenated. It's not that big of a deal but it will impact the quality of the bud. However, From what you said it sounds like mellow is right and you got a hermie. Do your self and the species a favor and smoke what you can of the bitch and kill it and the seeds. It's up to you to plant the seeds, but If I were you I'd just toss em and go with good seeds. In the end it's your choice.

If anything i'd just throw it in some dirt out in a forest or something and start a wild bud farm.

hermie seeds tend to be female, not feminized seeds...arheen

don't throw away your seeds, thats BS...yuo can still grow them pick your fem's and continue...syrrus

Red sun...If you already have seeds producing, then imho, it is too late to do anything except finish them! If these are good genetics then you should have some good seed...even seeds with good genetics are sold with the risk of getting males. So, just go with it, I have made the mistake of pulling hermie's just to learn later that I could've had another couple of ounces...goodluck.lw

you say they where out side till they started flowering,

thanks for the reply peepz......
with regards to them being pollinated by other plants within a 1 mile radius..i doubt it pretty much. plus i have a 1.8 meter high fencing covered with black plastic garden matting.
and yeah...latewood ,thanks for the tip about the seeds bro. for sure i wil use them for growing again. btw,,,,,,,smokeable portions of their buds are potent enough,,,tastes nice too..hehehe..peace.
