Hi guys.
We've got a growing room in our cellar. I do the growing & so spend a fair bit of time down there with my plants. The smell gets pretty intense as they flower, & at harvest the whole cellar & house reeks. I'm not a user (that's Ratman) & find the smell makes my nose & eyes sting. I'm also finding (we're harvesting now) that I feel pretty rough at night after we've dealt with the plants for a few hours - very bad headache, heavy eyes, sleepy, & out of it enough to have trouble taking things in.
Am I stoned, a bit? Can the smell do that to you without smoking it? Even if I've had a touch of whizz something's still zonking me out. I've eliminated everything else that might be causing it - the strong concentrated smell of dope is the only thing left.
Just curious, that's all. Interested to hear your opinions.
Cheers.

Yes from touching the plants you can. The trichomes rub off on your skin and sometime you even rub your eyes. When you harvest and trim you hands get covered in resin. Rub it off and save it that is finger hash. The residue from the scissors is prime hash Very potent stuff! You can wear latex gloves if it bothers you and eye ware to keep it out of your eyes too. I still fell it my self, everyone does when they trim. Itâ??s pure THC.

Actually the thc will enter the blood stream through the blood vessels in your skin! just for example if you smoke cigerettes and play with a piece of copper say a penny for awhile then you have a smoke ,the smoke taste really sweet .....one time I was harvesting and got the resin all over my fingers then my nose kept getting itchy so I would scratch my nose more and more lol, before I knew it,I got up off the chair to go plug in the kettle and I noticed I was really stoned more like a body stone!...it was weird! and to behonest I always get dragged out and tired when i harvest lol....then again trimming 40 plants would beat ya out anyways.

What is purple haze, where can you buy that strain? or is it like all plants with purple hues, do you think my blueberry plants smell will get out of my bedroom and stink the house?

I thought that was what was doing it. Ratman didn't, but he's a user so it probably isn't affecting him as much.
Zandor: am I in a Quotes Contest or something? I take it you quote other people because you're too stoned to write anything yourself?? That's why I don't use! :) The only time I ever looked like Ratman does after a joint was after I'd had ECT!!!
Hint hint, guys: it's not a sexy look! ;)
Thanks for the info, though: latex gloves in future for me! (& I don't mean for handling the plants!! ;) :D )

Yeah :D ECT! NOT a nice experience! It works though - if you're REALLY badly depressed I'd recommend it. I'm manic-depressive (they're trying to change that to 'bipolar' so we're not 'stigmatised' by the name - like you care about that when you're a loony) & a couple of years ago I went so manic that I crashed unbelievably after it. I was beyond any other help, so they shunted me off for a course of ECT. Gawd it was horrible, but I came out of my first session giggling. It relieved the severe depression, but also kept the usually cyclic depression at bay for 18 months for the first time in 20-odd years. VERY effective if you're in a genuine crisis.
But no, NOT a nice experience!!

ECT=electroconvulsive therapy
Seizures are induced by a small electrical current delivered through electrodes taped to the patient's head.
I know some people react to the smell of flowering plants, it gives them an allergic reaction like some get from pollen or dog hair.

Zandor: am I in a Quotes Contest or something? I take it you quote other people because you're too stoned to write anything yourself?? That's why I don't use! No; it's just proper form to quote whom you are posting a comment to so they know. Many people post in the same thread so using the quote is how we can post an answer or response to one person and they know. Avoids confusion.
I have written plenty of post in fact well over 2,200. I'm not sure why you are so hostel to me. I was polite & courteous to you and just trying to answer your question for you.

Although she didn't write it in the best possible way (5 more editing minutes would have helped), I don't think she's being mean.
It's just that, she isn't a user... she's not in the same 'wavelength'...
Ok, I was just kidding ("wavelengths").
But RatLady, yeah... the reason Zandor gave is totally right. Quoting really helps, as you're able to give replies/responses, one-by-one in order and with continuity. If you want proof of it's use, just browse over to the "Sexuality" forums... see how the kids over there communicate... you can hardly follow a thread!
Hardly something to be done because we're too stoned... which reminds me... if you're chillin' on the internet, is there such a thing as too stoned?

Boy! You ALL got me wrong!
1. Sorry, Zandor - didn't intend to come across as hostile!
2. Didn't mean those sort of quotes - meant all the ones by famous people (& yourself?!), which I just realised are your signature : couldn't understand what relevance they had! Thought you were just being a bit clever with me. Post layout's not very clear for a newbie!
- plus, of course, I'd been trimming plants & probably was a bit out of it anyway!
Didn't mean any offence, promise - your answers were all very helpful & I've been singing your praises to Ratman.
Humble apologies...... won't do it again..... maybe I should go have some more ECT...? ;)

Super cool!!!
Yeah!!! Now, this is the way mature, adult people communicate.
I'm sure Zandor will be happy to hear that it was all a mix-up... plus me! I didn't realize you where refering to the signatures... LOL!
Ok, everybody's happy now. As Garden says, we love you all!
BTW:
maybe I should go have some more ECT...? ;)
Oh, please don't... I'm still spooked about that!

OK, thank you it's forgotten.
So how are your plants doing?
Did you say what strain you are growing?

White Widow from seed, Northern Light from seed (only a few of each, we haven't got a very big cellar/garden). Also half a dozen cuttings of AK47, & some clones from our mummy plant who's been VERY popular but remains anonymous. More than enough to contend with for someone catering for 25 rats, a disabled dog, a barmy cat. And a husband. I've got so many babies to look after!!!
Thanks for the 'no-more ECT' vote: that's what I wanted to hear! They got it wrong last time anyway - I was into bodybuilding back then (not big-time, just dabbled in v small amounts basic steroids & worked out VERY hard), so they didn't allow for my increased muscle mass & so didn't give me enough muscle relaxant - consequently came round to find my lips bitten to shreds cos of undamped-down seizure. Also triggered massive auto-immune response due to Sjogren's Syndrome, & whole body 'rusted' up & froze: couldn't move at all, all tendons & ligaments inflamed & agonising.
Not much fun on top of the normal ECT headache (poo! you ain't NEVER had a headache guys!) & the spaced-out feeling you have after it.
It was thoroughly horrible, but definitely effective. I might have been dead now if I hadn't had it, & then who would you have to offend you, eh Zandor? ;)
God, I feel such a prat. Your flamin' signature . Lordy.......
You guys growing anything right now? We're gonna put a light in that moves back & forth on a rail suspended from the ceiling - any thoughts on that? We're hoping it'll mean we need less lighting & therefore use less electricity (which would be a marvellously useful thing to achieve!). We've got 2 lamps in use right now, plus a big fan, a heater, a dehumidifier, & one of those big cylindrical smell-removing wonders - I can't believe we haven't fused the entire house yet!
And yes, we are definitely out of it in the evening, sitting romantically trimming plants together all night & surreptitiously getting stoned. I went down to feed my baby planties & kept falling over! Very strange. We're wearing gloves, but the smell's so intense - Ratman grew Batch 1, but it wasn't brilliantly successful so I took over & rescued the haphazard plants of Batch 2 - success! Local dealers are bidding for it! The resin looks like I've spread it on with a knife like butter. I've always had a 'feel' for plants; looks like it's working. :D
Word of Warning: my big love is writing. Once you invite me in & get me started I don't know how to stop! Sorry if I waffle on too long, & if I bore you.
Cheers!
For Zandor: 'I'm only here because I'm not all there.'
I've got that written on the back of my jacket for when I'm pillion on Ratman's bike!
