Hi all.. i just wounderd what your opinions are on Mental/Psychotic Illness's caused by Cannabis?. Ive read much about schizophrenia but sometimes im tempted not to believe it or the experiment was only examined on a small range of people..... Could we become psychotic?

NO!
NO!
ignorance is bliss
well, i guess the straight answer to the question you asked 'does weed CAUSE mental illness' the answer is no, but it can very easily trigger psychosis and all that shit in people who have a history of mental illness or had it coming it to them at sometime anyway, although the amount of people it does happen to is relatively minimal, it CAN happen

most serious non governmental( as they always want to bring cannabis down) have shown that it triggers mental illness to ppl with a history, what confused some ppl is that a lot of schizos use drugs, not only pot, because it is almost a side effect to this illness, taking drugs...but i can tell you i know a lot and a lot of my parent's friend who never quited smoking for all their life and they are very sane, more than most people do...but not to the eye of "normal" society...got the picture?

It does make you insane. Taking drugs in the first place is insane, and it makes you want to take more drugs, therefore making you more insane. It destroys you and the people around you. Dont you listen to the government at all?
If someone did not get it, this was a joke.

Nah, I don't think so. My dad smoked weed in the 70's, and he is fine to this day, doesn't smoke anymore, bue he quit after 20yrs of smoking it. He's very, very successful aman and very smart...no mental illness of any kind.
Me, on the other hand, I am bi-polar, but I don't believe that is from MJ. My mom has depression, which she got from her mother as well, which I believe MJ is not responsible for my bi-polar, it just runs in the family. I'd take this over heart disease and cancer anyday.

Weed does not have the power to make you a schizo or something like that, but I think that it can unmask illnesses that you didnt notice before because of its nature as being a pyschoactive or mine-altering drug.

i love marijuana, but the fact that many people put into mental institutions in the past few years smoked ganja regualy has got to be than coinsidence. its just a potential risk, the mass majority of pot heads will not get a mental illness

pot does not induce psychosis, you fuck... it can in certain cases trigger schitzophrenic attacks if you have a history of schitzophrenia... but this is very rare...
ive had a few friends who were schitzophrenic, and nothing bad ever happened to them. the only time they weren't freakin out and shit was when they smoked.
i personally beleive that cannabis can cure mental illness, or atleast help to control it. it works for depression

it doesnt cause your basic paranoia... your not paranoid about people coming to kill you or thinking your being watched...
you just get paranoid about shit like gettin pulled over, your parents seeing your eyes or smelling the smoke... just paranoid about getting caught
and paranoia isnt psychosis anyways
