Hello all,

I'm new to these forums but am not new to growing. I have been growing the same skunk strain for years and have finally risked ordering some AK-47 seeds from Serious Seeds through Great Cannadian Seeds in Vancouver. My first question would be what I could expect from this plant, being mostly sativa, compared to Skunk #1? How is the high? Any special advice on growing this strain?

Secondly, has anyone ever dealt with this seed company before, and if so, how was your experience. I'm in the U.S.

expect a more heady, energetic, creative kind of high with no couchlock :thumbsup:

as far as growing, expect it to take alot longer to finish, end up being alot taller, and have less yield than your indica dominant strains

"...AK47 has a spiced aroma bordering on skunk, with a hint of sandalwood, but taste sweeter and more floral then the smell would lead one to expect.
Ak has mostly sativa charateristics with one exception: a quick finishing time. This variety was reworked in 1999 to increase stability, so results from seeds are uniform. A tall plant with substantial girth and big fat calyxes, she performs excellently in indoor environments, both soil and hydro, and has been grown outdoors with good results in Spain. In low to medium temperatures this variety produces a denser bud; in high temperatures buds are fluffier and more open, but total yields are roughtly equivalent.
The AK-47 buzz is immediate and long lasting with an alert but mellow cerebral effect. Lab test have rated the THC content at over 20%, making it a "one hit wonder" for many smokers. This variety can be spacey, but is great for playing and listening to music, orother social activities with friends. You are cool :thumbsup: It take 60 - 70 days to finish. Some sativa strains take 100 days or so to finish. Anyway, AK-47 is a bit long comparing to indica strains. Have a good day.

Thanks to all who posted. I just recieved soem more equipment from the UPS man today. The one thing I'm missing is the seeds. It's only been 3 weeks or so so I'm just being impatient. lol. I'll keep you all updated with my progress with this strain. I just bought a new digicam and I hope it takes good close ups. Anyway thanks again.
