Such sweet haze drifts thru the skies...
As sounds and spirits drift thru my mind.
My eyes are closed, My being serene.
But my thoughts are open, aware of the unseen.
Wonder and wander as i kiss the stars...
I carress the heavens and penetrate the bizarre.
Rise up within my secession...
I've left my body behind.
For unto this place it cannot go,
here earthly eyes are blind.
My new sight lies now open,
and my being rests so sound.
Forget the things i thought i knew...
Let my soul break from these bounds.
No more fear, and no more pain,
No more guilt, and no more shame.
Let go of yourself, and you shall be saved.

yes, i did write this, and all the other poetry ive posted here. (i hate plagerism, and i hate it when people put on fronts) and yes, i need to write a damn book.
i just hope that by making it available to be read on the internet, im not inviting people to steal it.

totally.. .there are always gonna be assholes who steal your work
until you are published, do what the musicians do, ghetto copyright!
take a copy of all your writings, and mail it to yourself, keep the envelope sealed and put it away somewhere
that way if your ever involved in a copyright lawsuit, you have a sealed envelope, WITH A DATE (the postmark) that the judge can open up to verify your work / the time of creation of said work
excellent work, BTW :D

dude... thats the best damn advice ive heard in a long time.
but i have a back up plan... i can make fun of the people cuz they supposedly wrote that one poem, but they can't seem to come up with anything else, and when they do, its a totally diff style. (doesnt get me anywhere monetarily or legally, but it makes me feel better.)
and then i can just take off from where the poem left off and let the people hear how well the words flow when they are from the artist's mouth
im scared as hell about this poem, tho.. i knew it was my best as soon as i finished it.

and even if people do steal it... its not so bad. just like my music, i dont write it to make money or make people like me or whatever bullshit there is to do it for. i write because i love to do so, and i wanna share my art with the world

right on.. if more people were like that then we would have more good music, etc out there :)
i used to dj for a hiphop band and one of my MC's was in school for music production, thats where i picked up most of the extra info
technically just placing the copyright symbol on your work is valid, but you can't prove anything with just that.. that's all we did though :D
