Okay I really don't know where to put this so ill put this here.
Here in San Diego, I read this magazine called the San Diego Reader. The last one I read had plenty of Ads (it is usually 75% ads), and I saw like six Medicinal Marijuana Trial advertisements.
One of the conditions listed under the "Do you suffer from.." list was migraines. Now I will tell you a disgusting story.
I have been getting Migraines ever since I was 8 or 9. Which is not normal. Most people don't encounter one until they reach 16. So I may be at risk for a couple things as well.
Now I am only thirteen, and seeing how I am a minor, I am only looking ahead. But I remember some cases of brain tumors and aneurysms began with chronic Migraines.
So there are some rumours that MJ can prevent cancer, and is an excellent pain reliever. So, one day i got a migraine, and I packed a bowel. What took tylenol 2 hours, took Marijuana two minutes :).
One time I had a migraine that lasted six hours in which I vomitted four times. And usually it justs ends after the first vomit. But I think with marijuana, I won't have to suffer the pain. I won't have to suffer this monster of a condition.
Do you think when I am an adult they will take my case seriously (if still legal as medical), or will they just shove it back in my face thinking i am a pothead?

i think you need to stop worrying about your god damned age, other people are stupid, laws against age, fuck them, go to a doctor and tell them flat out what's going on, and what you know about pot, and your experiance with it.
most likely, the doc. will tell you to stop smoking it, but if you want you can tell them off lol cuz any doc. that doesnt suggest pot is only out to get paied.

I think your still a little young for this but I hear that mushrooms are great for migranes and cluster headaches. look under user experiences for mushrooms on erowid vaults. It just so happens that the medicine doctors give you is based on an indole ring like mushrooms and lsd but thiers doesnt work as well. dont try to overdue it by taking large doses though. only do like a gram and you wont have anxiety attacks or paranioa. you will just feel great and no headache.

Well I have tried shrooms and a couple of things about them I have to say
1. I had a bad trip
2. I don't know where to get them anymore
3. That is great, if I had shrooms during a migraine attack id use them, but last time I was fine.
Unfortunately last time i did have Anxiety attacks and paranoia and shit. But damn I need to have a trip lol.

Take a look at what I wrote to Hempman666 (next post up). I have had migraines most of my life. When I was 3, a friend tried to murder me with a hammer (I was an annoying brat). Now I've got all these interesting dents in my skull. I can't really remember life without pain when I wasn't smoking pot. I've been smoking for more than 40 years now. Pot works wonders! 5 minutes after toking, the pain goes away. With your early onset, I strongly suggest that you talk to a doctor about getting a CAT scan of your head, just to be safe. Mine had a physical reason, but I still got the scan.

I wonder about the claims going around of cannabis' effectiveness on migraine. Isn't it true that prescribed meds constrict blood vessels while cannabis dilates them? I'd be interested in hearing about other studies and experiences, and don't dispute the testimonies of others.
Yours sounds like a serious condition that would benefit from consultation with more than one physician. Self-prescription at age thirteen is in any case not all that commendable.

Aso remember that heavy marijuana usage for a prolonged amount of time can start to give you migraines. I started to get these horrible migraines a couple months ago and I figured it was probably due to my heavy consumption of marijuana for over a year and half now. The funny thing is that these migraines start when I'm sober, so all i do is smoke a bowl and that instantly takes away my migraine. There are cases when a bowl doesnt have any medicinal value and all it does is agravate the migraine, I suppose tis is a sign from my body demanding me to lay off the pipe for a few weeks. I think I'm up for the body cleansing although sober life is boring as fuck, lets see how far my will can go.

i saw this topic and just had to post. I have been getting migraines since about the 1st or 2nd grade, and have been on numerous meds, but they could never completely stop it, just make them less often (went from everyday, practically all day, to less then 3 times a week which it is currently) but when i do get the punding migraine headache that the meds didn't prevent, nothing will mmake it go away, except weed. I am 15 now and whenever i get a migraine and have some pot to smoke, it is always helps me out.
