Going to Amsterdam and Need some places! Help!

Hey, this is Art Rollins here and I am going to be in Amsterdam for the Cannabis Cup (yeah gag me with a stick, but some rags pay for pics and a play by play). I am thrilled to be there with J Rollins doing the pictures and covering anyone that wants to show their wares for a story. I only have to do the event one day and the awards night, the rest is grow and other stories I can find.

OK, where the hell can I stay? I hate the place I stayed last time. Actually I knda liked one of them, Uptown, but only when the magazine paid the bill. It is too expensive and the magazine budget for the whole trip would not cover a night there. I also stayed at the Utopia (shite coffee shoppe had buds that had no trichromes on them - strange).

Also, am I better off bringing my own, that is expensive 10 a gram, mine is sort of just soil and water kinda cost?

Who wants to meet up and party a bit? Lets get high where high is just fine! It's me! Crazy man in YOUR part of town!

Damn! Cant believe no one in Holland here? What has this become? Alas, should I then really post pics when I am there for you all? Is there NO ONE going to be there? We can sit, do a vap legally. It is like extra heaven.

hey man ok well firstly.....i just wanna say well done 4 going 2 amsterdam it is such a beautiful country...not only bcoz of the weed.......honestly if u just leave out the weed 4 a second, they have beautiful history and the people there treat u like a family, i was abit lost in th emiddle of the leispeline (sp?) and a stranger came up 2 me and goes' excuse me i cudnt help but notice that u look a lil lst, any chance i cud b of some assistance??'' so i was lik eomg there are so nice.

ok well where me n my bro stayed was this cosy lil place just opposite the central station, u will blatently notice as soon as u come out the stupidly huge building infront of ya which looks like parliment which is the victoria hotel, if u go to the right of the hotel there is a street about 10 seconds away , so basically at the end of the hotel on the right, and there must b ATLEAST 5-10 different hotels/motels woteva, and pretty damm cheap. so we stayed there and it was reli easy getting about, we stayed around teh central station area so we didnt get lost, if u look on a map and follow one of the major streets just under central station , the coffeeshops i wud recommend are rasta baby, picassos (deff go and buy some picasso, so tasty!!), barneys (get a damm cooked breakfast wiv a spliff how cool) and also pink floyd (internet access on top floor as well as food.) and that is all in 1 street. i hope this map can b of some help, i've highlighted the areas of which ive been speaking about, have a gr8 time and bring some pictures back!!! peace out x

Thanks bro, yeah I know the deal there. But I want to hang with some of the people here. I was on the tram one day and it was crowded. Was standing and had my heavy backpack laden with magazines and stuff from the shows on the ground. Just before the stop I started to put the backpack on, it was really heavy and someone behind me helped. Real nice. I turned to thank them, and had to look down to find a little old granny! DAMN that would NOT happen in America and I feel like SHIT about that. Yes, same thing happens to me. Once asked someone if they spoke English to see if they would help with some directions: "No problem, everyone in Holland speaks English" Where did I want to go, and they took me there, and then I found out they went blocks out of their way to do it. THEY are GREAT people.

So, I know everything will be fine, just hoping to hook with friends here while I am there. I know all the little hotels around the center there. We will probably just roll till we feel like grabbing one.
