Hi there
I spent a few days in Amsterdam with a friend and on impulse we decided to get some hash cake from a coffeeshop.
We took it back to her room and ate it ... well, my friend only had half of hers and I polished the rest of it off.
I didn't think anything was going to happen at all, then over an hour later I got this sudden lurch that started in my head and traveled down my body. Within minutes, I was getting a really powerful sensation through me, it was like a ring of vibrations enveloping me and slowly traveling from my head down to my feet.
I have to admit, the sensations were making me horny, so I excused myself and um, rode the waves alone.
The waves seemed to taper off, but then they returned, but this time stronger, the vibrations were faster and fiercer, to the point that it felt pressure was being applied to me (not comfortable around the throat, I have to say). Suddenly, my mouth and throat were dry. The rings of sensation got smaller and tighter, and more intense ... to the point that I felt a red hot poker had been shoved down my windpipe. I concentrated on breathing slowly, just to reassure myself my windpipe was still intact.
Then I started trembling ... following the same pattern of down my body and up again.
I felt pressure building in my head and so I sat up, and noticed also that my heartbeat had reached insane levels. It was about here that I started to wonder if I was going to die. My heart was beating so fast, it felt like a tuning fork inside my chest. I felt pressure on my chest and my left arm had pins and needles. I wondered if I should call an ambulance.
I sat very still, breathing slowly and deeply, before a brief respite came and I decided to go back to my friend's room. She wasn't feeling great either, and we took it in turns to sip water and sit as calmly as we could together.
It was a few hours before I felt well enough to return to my room and try to sleep. I eventually managed, and felt better the next day, but I could still feel it inside me.
Is this a common reaction to hash ? Or did OD a bit on it ? I have to say I doubt I'll do it again, it was a pretty scary experience. But I'm curious about what was going on inside me.
