Hi all & thanks for taking the time to read this, i need help with the age old problem - Spidermites!!!!!!!!!! :( I am about 4 weeks into flowering and my crop is living with them, i have read about this prob on various sites but o lot of the advice comes from abroad ( i live in england), i have used soap & water, predatory mites, various sprays, showering & i cannot shift the little f*!^$£'s, i have read some message boards & things like Pyrethrin, neem oil, avid - avermectin, dicofol, bug bombs, flea bombs, tobacco, peppers have been mentioned. I have 11 four way plants in my attic currently overran with spidermites  , can anybody PLEASE help me, i will forever be in your service & you will always be welcome to my part of the country to share the spoils of my crop. If nothing in the uk will work is it poss. to buy abroad & how long will that take. Again thanks for reading this & i REALLY look forward to hearing from you. :D

I have tried doing a little bit of research for you and it seems that a lot of spider mites are now immune to Pyrethrum. Seems like neem oil is popular also. But Ed Rosenthal and Harriet Hempster came up with a cool pesticide in his Ask Ed book. Mix a tablespoon each of raw onion, ground garlic, mixed italian seasoning, ground cinamon, and ground cloves, in one quart of boiling water. Mix this with two heaping tablespoons of cornstarch and add 8 ounces od denatured alcohol. It is a powerful general pesticide. :) Other than that I couldn't find anything else.

If ever you are in england please feel free to drop in at any time :) , i have just a couple of questions though, sorry for being thick but how much is a quart & where do i get denaturated  alcohol from? thanks again

A quart is about 32-33 ounces and denatured alcohol is a fast evaporating alcohol that you can find in any hardware store. :)

If your gonna use a spray like "End all" you have to make sure you spray the plant from the bottom of the leaf up, coating the front of the leaf does nothing... you must then repeat process 4 or 5 days after because the first spray kills the initial mites on your plant however thousands of new eggs have already been laid before the parents die leaving them to hatch in 4 days. If this still doesnt work you could get a stronger spray but "Avid" which is not available over the counter and is also toxic to your health so make sure you wear a toxic mask. Another way if you happen to have a Co2 burner is to turn the C02 level way up to about 10.000 ppm for only about 1 hour and they should all soffocate. Make sure you are not in the room during this as the level of C02 at this rate is also harmful to your health

[/I]it's impossible to get rid of them now when your this far in, you gotta face facts your stuck with them! the sooner you accept this the less stressed you'll be, the only thing you can do is keep them under control and yeah there is lots of stuff on the market claiming to sort it out and it'll end up costing a small fortune, the best method i have ever used is a few drops of washing up liquid in a spray bottle, not enough to make bubbles just to break the surface tension it drowns the little fukkas, i had 2 nft tables with 90 plants in each, with a 2 foot gap between the tables, one table was gettin eaten alive and at 1 point i nearly ripped the lot out, then my mate from wales who has grown for about 11 years said try soap as simple as it sounds it works so i did and it did! the second table remained untouched and the eaten table wasent so bad

These message boards are very helpfull. My crop was overrun with the lil bastards so I had to harvest a week early. My next crop I microwaved all the soil I used and sprayed every clone with sunlight and water. Let off a bug bomb in the room. Now I have not seen the lil bastards back. Im a very happy farmer now.
