You might also try talking to your mom, figuring out why she'd do crystal, and make sure she knows you care about her and don't want her fucking herself up on that stuff. It's a nasty drug, maybe show her facesofmeth or something. Make sure she realizes you want her to not be a meth-head. No one likes other people to be ashamed of them, this could potentially do alot of good as long as you aren't like, negative. She's probably already feeling kind of shitty if she's doing meth. Might tell her you beat your cousin's ass too, and that if you ever found out she's buying from him again that next time it'll be alot worse for him.

As for the cousin, he is still a dealer who's primary goal is to make money. I don't know any dealer... black, white, poor, rich, fat, skinny, purple... that would turn down a customer with money. I don't see how he is taking advantage of anyone when everyone goes home happy. To spin it otherwise is a bit hypocritical considering this is a drug site. The relationships are semantical.

My "assholish manner" was directed at the guys advocating beating people with baseball bats. Otherwise I think it is a sad situation that should be handled by professionals.

Your right I suppose, at least in the sense that it's not a child's place to take care of his parent. Sadly, this is already the case with him. I think it's better he take care of his mom than have someone with no love for him taking care of him.. especially since he's already had to fill those shoes, it becomes hard to take them off. As for a dealer never turning down a customer, that's why people here are advocating baseball bats ((though too extreme)) because when the cousin realizes that he will be beat within an inch of his life if he ever sells to the kids mom again.. he'll learn how to turn down a customer with money.

And professionals don't know how to handle situations like these sadly, I'm not sure anyone really does though. In most cases they just remove the child from the inadequate parent even if she was loving. This is a big mistake in alot of cases. They should impart help and stuff like that for the parent, but not just remove them from the kids life as too often happens. ((okay I can't really say too often, but this is what happened to my friend dan when his mom and step dad got caught making meth in their truck. He was forced to live with his real dad and not see his mom, and while his real dad isn't a meth-head, he's an abusive drunken asshole living in a dirty 1 room apartment.. dan was doing alot better with his meth addicted parents.))

Anyway, violence probably isn't the solution, I'll give you that. There's probably a way to find the same results without it anyway. Threatening to rat him out could do the trick, and teling him that if he does anything stupid he has friends who are all willing to rat on him as well.

Although A former foster parent, I do not advocate the childrens services agencies. I would hope there is at least one adult somewhere that you could trust to help you. Foster care is not always the answer, but unfortunately that is usually the results especially if violence is involved. Is there anyone you can turn to that will help you, not just call child. & youth serv. ? Getting an adult addict help is a hell of a lot harder than it is said! The relationship with your mom is obviously important to you, stay out of trouble yourself so you can be with her. You are a minor, like it or not and no matter how much responsibility has been dumped on you. It is the hardest thing a preson can go through to watch someone you love slowly destroy themselves. Please let reason prevail! I cant say it enough, keep your ass out of trouble and youll be able to stay there and help, kick his ass and youll end up in juvie and foster care where you cant do a damn thing.
