What is weed good for medicinally? I know its the only natural way to get your appitite back and relieve eye pressure for glaucoma, but is there more? Will smoking ease the pain of a cold, or the flu? I've smoked to ease body aches, but thats about it. What's your experience, advice?

Increases appetite and metabolism. Relieves pain. Helps against depression. Allows one to think about things more deeply. Relieving eye pressure, as you said. I think that's about it.

One of the main drawbacks medicinally is that it causes tachycardia. That's a pretty heavy side effect for a medicine.

I've only experienced tachycardia when I've had way too much, or I get scarred.

Whenever I get migraines, one of the most painful symptoms (for me) is ridiculously intense pain around the eyes, it feels almost like the veins are tightening uncontrollably. Theoretically, wouldn't bud relieve that pain? I haven't had a migraine in a while, so I haven't thought to try that.

Speaking personally...I have ms and fibromyalgia...I use it to stop pain and it also helps with muscle spasms it also works to help releive the upset stomach that comes with taking so many other MS drugs....

When my father was dying from cancer I gave him weed to smoke which he did for the 1st time in his life and he was able to sleep at night. He suffered for a long time before he broke down and smoked it. It is sad that society made him afriad and ashamed to try to it. Once he did he slept peacefully....

Mushrooms are also said to relieve either migraines or cluster headaches, I can't recall. :rasta:

Dude, congrats on giving your dad weed. It's a shame they don't prescribe that stuff to cancer patients.
