you can't full-on legally in this country. but in some areas of my city and shit, around here, you can. without anybody either caring, or without any authority around. i smoke joints and walk down the side of the road sometimes outside my house. i live in private property, too. so i could technically smoke a blunt while standing on my land and have a cop see me, and ask me what i'm smoking, and i can say a cigar and walk off without him stopping me. he can't cross over.

Completely incorrect. Cannabis is VERY VERY illegal in Thailand and could get you some major prison time for posession. In addition, sex with anyone under 18 by a foreigner will also earn you big time prison. This is mostly due to pressure from the US. The US has spent alot of money in Thailand destroying the poppy and cannabis plantations in the North (the famous "Golden Triangle").

These stories you are referring to come from the fact that there is human trafficing going on with girls/boys in Burma (Myanmar), smuggled through Thailand (in areas such as Mae Sai border crossing...I've been there), and then out of Thailand over to the middle east, europe, etc.

Also keep in mind that its demand from those of us in the West that makes this stuff happen.
