Lets try to forget the bible for a while.

Was their anything before the universe? or was it always there? is that even possible? if there was a start to the universe, then what was before the universe? Nothing? or something? or is nothing something?

I had people say the universe was always, and will always be. But I see it as their has to be a start, a beginning. They told me that it is like a circle, it has no start and always continues, but I disagree. A circle has a start, it's the point at which you started to draw it. It may contine but it even had a start. So i feel the same for the universe.

Any thoughts?

if anyone can answer that, they will answer pretty much everything philosophers have spent countless centuries tryin to figure out.

i think we as humans can't comprehend the thought of nothing.

like when i think about what came before us and everything else i get a big ass headache only a gram of sweet cheeba can cure

not enough is exactally correct, humanity has no concept of nothing because throughout exsistance there is always something. We observe that everything is converted (we call it made) so naturally we can't comprehend something always being there, our very nature prohibits that concept. So we create these concepts of a devine power in the heavens that created everything and is going to destroy everything. It's only a matter of deductive logic.

the truth is nothing, we are the truth, the truth which observes thoughts.

the more the truth observes a thought, the more that thought becomes true.

Nothing is your thoughts before you're born, so don't think about it.

Supposedly, the Universe existed before the Big Bang, so before there was nothing, there were billions of years of a contracting universe.

That's also like saying, do you exist if you don't live?

the void is the universe where there is no matter or mass.

this is the only possible physical deffinition of "nothing".

I still can not see how you can define nothing. To have truly nothing is impossible...but then again so are a lot of things...

lol yeah, true nothing cannot be defined with anything more than "lacking something/anything".

Nothing can also be defined as, "I will smoke weed until the day I die. The Law means nothing to me."

MudFu

Well is that kind of nothing the same and nothing before anything?

a way nothing can be something:

nothing is an infinite void of nothingness, no matter, no anything...

it is something in the respect that it is infinite blackness.

But, black is black. Black is not nothing. Without anything, is forgotten. But for everything, we're forgiven. :stoned:

ah, yes, but you see, you have to think of it as a new born infant would; they do not know it is "black", to them it is literally nothing at all, no thought to associate with it.

So your saying nothing is truely nothing until you make it something? So truly nothing is impossible to have if you try to reason what nothing is...

yup. without thought there is only nothing. no matter what things there are, you have no thoughts to associate with them, therefore they are nothing.

As soon as you think of it, it becomes something. What have we been talking about? Nothing? Seinfeld made a show about it.

Well this topic was very insightful Lol. I don't think I could talk to many other people about nothing without someone saying "your stupid its nothing." or something like that. Lol

MudFu

Well I donno about being the indigo child but I do have certin questions that I would love answered but the very idea confuses many who I try to ask so I can never get insight on something. Other peoples insight helps me create a belief of my own. May not be what others believe but it is based on what I learn and what I feel to be right.
