Lab Results??

How long does it normally take for the results of a pre employment drug test to come back? I took my test last monday, the 7th. its wednesday the 16th. im wondering because i dont want to resign from my current job if the new one is gonna wait till the last minute and tell my i failed.

While it is possible the testing place is taking a long time that is quite a while. There is a decent chance you were found positive by the antibody test and now are in que for GC-MS confirmation which takes more time.

Why not just call the employer?
Sorry to get you worried but I would be but I have had long waits and was fine. Was it just a drug test? For example I have had full physicals and that can take quite a bit of time to get all the results back from and could have nothing to do with the drug test.

Also if you have not smoked dont, you maybe able to demand a re-test claiming it was a false positive. If you have not smoked you may be clean by now.

Pretty much just ask why is it taking so long you need to get on with your life one way or another. Dont call the testing agency they wont tell you anything call the potential employer.

Dont make it sound like you are worried about the drug test just ask about the job.

usually its not the employer doing the testing, but an outside lab. The lab will call you if you fail, the employer wont, your application will just get tossed in the trash. Some Companies, like Geico, do testing on the spot.

I'm up for a job and some private H.R. company is going to make me pee for them. I hope its just piss. What are the chances that they'll do a saliva or hair folicle? Don't they usually do a drug screen and if you fail that they do a drug test? I'm fucking freaking out and I have that quick fix.. there is no way i'll pass with out that shit..
