Boiling Bong Water

Me and my friends usually fill our bong up with ice cubes which is pretty nice, but I heard somewhere that if you boil the water and put it in the bong it makes the hits smoother or something. Or maybe it allows for bigger hits? Anyone ever try this or know what it does?

You'd be inhaling vapor along with your smoke.

logically it seems like a very good idea, because you will be inhaling not only the ganja's smoke but also the vapor, but the vapor might clatch onto the smoke particles and drag them down to the pool of the nasty bong water, i dont know ill have to try it. if someone has tried it, please do explain your expierience...peace.

i would think that it would make the hits hotter and make it so u can't hit the bong for as long as ussual. i use cold water and i can get huge hits cuz the smoke is cold and i would think that w/ hot water it would be harder to take mondo rips.

I would think that hot water would just make it a terrible experience. Like everyone else said I think it would only make the water smoke hotter then you would have a hard time holding your bong cause it would heat up too. Also if you are smoking the vapors from the water I am sure that wouldnt matter too much cause they would be hot too and just make it harder to keep smoking. I would definately keep with the cold water cause the whole purpose of the bong pretty much is to clean up the smoke and cool it off so it isnt as hot.

actually the vapor meight go into ur throat an sooth it. maby it keeps ur throat moist so the smoke doesnt dry ur throat raw during a fat rip. if u wanna try something new and odd, use chilled milk, its a little thicker an when ur done, wa-la u can fuck wit a friend sayin its chocolate milk an if hes really stoned he actually meight think it is. but make sore u clean ur bong afterwards cause rotton milk can spoil any good tastin weed.

it does make your hits alot smoother but you have to take shorter hits because it gets really hott if you take hard hits so good luck trying be carefull

welp, in my experience, really hot (boiling) water filters the smoke better, so there's less tar and other such nasty stuff...but it also keeps the smoke heated and full of water vapor, so it feels horrible going down. but, icy cold ice water of iciness(icyness?) makes for good smoking toking times...soloution? a 2 stage bong! put boiling water in the first to filter the smoke, then put ice water in the second to cool the smoke. voila! fat, filtered rips of hugeness.


I have just realized that I am using far too many adjectives. I'll go lie down for a while.

Most people think that the colder the water the smother the hit.When in fact i used warm water in my bong, and the hit was so smooth that i didn't even know i took a hit! Warm water is the way to go!:thumbsup:

Boiling water (well, hot water) sounds interesting, I guess because vapours / steam thin the mucus in your throat and also clear out your lungs. It's also really good for coughs. Has anyone tried warm water with anything in it, like green tea or camomile or eucalyptus? That could also be pretty cool...

I like to use hot water from the tap but never boiling i find it makes it smoother especially on cold days, but in the summer I like it cold with ice

use our tech goto the store and get a Cool air hudimitfyer (how ever spelled) i tryed this shit with that and hits are smooth as shit it makes a cool air mist i just put a hose on it and feed that cool mist into my $$bong$$:smokin:
