I have 3 1/2 plants 5 weeks into flowering. I accidently missed the pollenation of half of one plant. I got to thinking... What if I took a little time (2 hours) and used my eyebrow tweezers to pluck out all the seeds as aren't that many of them... Turned out to be about 100 seeds.

I'm hoping the energy that goes into the plant to mature the seeds that are gone may go into the unpollenated flowers....

I vaporized the seeds as they were loaded with trics. It sure didn't take much to get very low to the ground.....

If the plant dies, I don't care. I hate cleaning all the stupid seeds out of my herb from my first grow. Wish me luck

So the purpose of your experiment is to pollinate your plants? Could you post more info on your experiment?

Wow! Was I ever unclear!
What I meant to say is I caught two males just in time. Of the four female plants one accidently got pollenated on the lower half of the plant. I plucked out all the growing seeds in the hope that without the 100 seeds it would put more energy into all the flowers that never got pollenated.

I wouldn't have bothered, but I thought spending 2 hours might make the buds more potent.

I've never heard of doing this so I thought I'd give it a try.

One thing for sure the other three ladies are going to be done just in time for Christmas!

If you know for sure the plants are female , clone them and get your next crop in the works. Have fun picking seeds in the mean time. If it works out you will have bud for a few years to come. You might say a good clone is worth its weight in gold, if not more.

I've considered clowning them, but I'm going the reveg route at least one time. I've read that the quality goes down after so many harvests. Last grow I had 12 clones that all worked out.

I'm mainly interested in a medical herb plant I have that got cold and then stunted. It's a puny 20 inches after over three months of growth. However, she has a nice big flower with tri coated leaves on top and a few nice smaller buds down lower. At the bottom there is a flower with one seed. I'm hoping it's not from pollen, but rather a stray lucky seed. I'll know once I grow it out.
Next time I clone I'm going to use the toothpick through the stem technique.

nice, good luck on that experiment, i'm workin on my own experiment. my experiment have a lot to do with the roots, cause they are the most important. the reason why with hydroponics the plants grow faster and finish 2 weeks faster is because of the air supply to the roots. u can use food grade hydrogen peroxide to to send oxygen to roots, but my method is to use electrolysis ( which will make oxygen gas and hydrogen O2 and H2 ) i will send the O2 to the roots and the H2 i can use that in my hydrogen engine...,..,.., :)

My goodness, and I thought I was being ambitious! Muffinmanlow, that's what I call an experiment! I cut one of my 5 gallon containers in half to try and understand the root system... That wasn't fun, but I was surprised to see 90# of the roots went down the sides with most of the roots at the very bottom.
