whenever i smoke alot, like more than i have ever smoked before, i get a seizure about an hour into the high. my body starts shaking uncontrollably, i have no physical control over it, there is no way to stop my body from shaking. i start smelling things along the lines of someone lighting my nose hairs on fire. this lasts for 5-15 minutes until it slowly goes away. but it begins very abruptly.

Moe, I'd go tell a doctor everything. You don't know what you're masking by getting stoned. Also, you don't know what you're curing. You may have a common mental disease that can be cured if you smoke enough weed. Just go see a doctor, please.
Oh, and if that doctor is unresponsive, find another one.

Well.. maybe you should stop.
Are you sure it's not just vertigo? I get that when I'm high

no, the time enjoyed before and after the seizure outweighs the annoyingness of acting like a human washing machine for 15 minutes.
i'm lucky enough to have a very well educated psychology teacher who does many drugs himself, i asked him why this happens whenever i smoke too much weed.
he said its a form of a 'myoclonic twitch'. when you're sober, its only supposed to happen right before you fall asleep or when you wake up because your body can't tell if its dying or just really really tired. but because of the weed, the feeling is so intense that the body has to continuously twitch to make sure it doesnt 'die'.
doesn't explain the smells, but it makes alot of sense.

The smell of burning hair often accompanies seizures. People who have seizures on a regular basis claim to smell anything from burning electrical wiring to orange peels right before the event.

No shit.
I swear sometimes people these days don't have a fuckin brain if their life depended on it.
You see, I quit drinking booze because after years of abuse, my body couldn't take it anymore, so instead of torturing my body, I QUIT.
You see, you're in the same boat. Your body is trying to tell you something smart guy...figure it out yet?

the seizure is tolerable and does not affect my crave for weed. it does not occur every time, only once every 5 or 6 times.

Are you on any seizure medications? This may be a side effect, I have one child that has seizures but I am not a doctor...

I think it is very doubtful that the herb is giving you seizures. I have bipolar and psychogenic seizures (seizures of an unknown origin) from PTSD.
I use herb every day and find that it's more helpful than the medication used to control my bipolar. I have had seizures while smoking and felt them coming on and what you are describing is called a 'petit mal' or mini seizure.
One of the posters is absolutely correct in saying you need to see a doctor.
Seizure are nothing to fool around with, believe me, I know.
The last seizure I had (like a dum ass, I went out and got plastered with some friends) came home and had such a bad seizure I went tinto cardiac arrest.
I cannot drink alcohol, period.
I'm not trying to scare you, but please...go get checked out...

The other day I was smoking a shitload. It was kinda cold outside and I was shivering like crazy. Thing is, it wasnâ??t even THAT cold, and even when it is, I hardly ever shiver, maybe just like my jaw a little. This time it was like a full body shiver and one that I couldnâ??t control even if I tried. Going inside and getting warm did stop it though.
Is there any chance this is what happened to you?

This is just a thought... Could smoking (more than usual in one sitting) cause your blood sugar to drop temporarily? You aren't diabetic or hypoglycemic (sp?) or anything like that are you? Maybe you're just smoking your pancreas stupid and it's forgetting insulin... you know... just until you start seizing... then it's all, "whooooooa, duuuuuude, I tooooootally forgot about the insulin. Fuuuuck I'm stoooooned."
I mean, it's just a thought.

thats what happened the first few times, but then it got alot worse. after 3 or 4 times of the 'extremely fucking cold but i'm not cold' happening, i began to be aware that i wasnt cold at all and i was just shivering uncontrollably. yeah what you described is whats happening but it started getting worse. or maybe i just started smoking more.
anywho i'm just a hypochondriac, whaddoo i know.

Epilepsy is an ailment of the brain. You wouldn't know what was going on iif it was a siezure, you go into kind of a coma state.

uh.
if i got seizures from smoking, i'd probably stop.
that's kind of an undesirable effect to have from drugs..if i've heard of one..
oh, that and death.

Somtimes you can hear everything going on around you...you just can't respond. And then, there are the REALLY bad ones where you have a full grand mal seizure and those, you don't remember anything when you wake up.

If you can remember it, then chances are it's not really a seizure.

my mom used to get siezures from smoking where she would curl up in a fetal position. She found out she had low blood sugar and whenever she smokes and gets that way she eats a chocolate bar and returns to normal.

All the symptoms for Hypoglycemia fit me while high, and eating alot of sugar seems to keep the symptoms at bay.
Unfortunately, by alot of sugar, I mean like a pound of sour keys or something. If I stop eating anything sweet for about 10 minutes I turn into a human washing machine, shaking uncontrollably and seeing bats fly at me.
