Tell us what size of space ? what kind of light ? you can build a bubbler or drip for next to nothing. Many nutes to choose from. Look at some of the sponsers here. Tell us what you have to work with. Hydro is cool grows fast.

If you want to try hydro with only one plant then I suggest a DWC bucket system. Very easy to use just make sure you have good nutrients and plenty of air bubbles.

Northern lights #5 is a good strain, very easy to grow and forgiving as far as small mistakes. You only wanted to grow one so a DWC would be a good toy to play with. Just know you will spend money on ph testers and PPM meters that are needed to grow properly in Hydroponics.

Listen to Zandor. NL's were my first hydro. 4 oz's off a 400watt HPS light. 6 x 6 is a good space I would get a 1000 watt and 6 to 12 plants I'm learning inside you don't grow tree's, you grow more small ones with big buds on them. The light can get to them . When you grow tree's your top light is only growing the top 1/3rd of the plant. Check out others grows. Mine are week 7 flowering orange bud. I'm learning too, if Zandor gives you advice take it to the bank.
