for those in the UK, Kansas is a state in the US

What do you think of this?
I mean, I'm not that spiritual, but if Kansas is going to stop teaching evolution and start teaching our beings existance as a result of God, that is complete bullshit. I thought there was a law in this country that said "Seperation of Church and State" What the fuck. This country is so fucked up.
Another thing that pisses me off is that this wasn't even a vote for the people. It was just 10 assholes sitting on some Education Board. A whole bunch of Conservatives being their religious selves. I'm not trying to be a prick, but keep religion out of school and politics.
Also, if you followed the practice of Allah, would you really want to go to school where they tell you that God created us ? HELL NO. sorry for rambling, but I'm stoned and I feel that this issue is very important for the united states

The UC system (university of california) has already declared they won't accept students from kansas anymore unless they can show they've taken or made up some sort of basic biology class. Basically giving Kansas a failing grade in terms of preparing students to move on if they so wish. I haven't heard too much about the issue, but that was the gossip around campus today so to speak.

i went to a private christian school one year in high school, and even they taught evolution. they taught both creationism and evolution because you have to know the theories that a large majority of the world believes so you can understand. and there is always the grey areas in between that involve both ways of creation. i think it's bullshit if the fucking public school system can't teach it because they're such arrogant ignorant fundamentalist christians.

yea i agree that's bullshit. a school is to learn correct? then how the fuck are they going to go and teach something they don't even know to be correct. if i was in that schooling system i would take it all the way to a grand jury. and btw, when has there ever, in all the years the US has been a country ever been seperation from church and god? read old shit, from when the country was first started and you will see it saturated with religious stuff, and even today the president still makes judgement based on his religious beliefs and not what the country needs to benefit (if iraq practiced christianity do you really think we'd be over there "fighting for our freedom") he makes speeches (and he isn't the first) that are saturated with biblical quotes/theories. this country is just all around christian and it's never going to change. i honestly wish i lived in kansas and was of schooling age (already out of school) because i would take it all the way to the supreme court if i had to...even if it meant me facing jail/prison (don't know how they could put me in jail for such a thing but i suppose if they really wanted to they could penalize me for refusing to go to school, which i would til this law was removed) i would still stand up for what i believe in, i don't go forcing whatever religion you want to say i have on other people, i don't even really talk about it to other people much, i believe everyone should have the choice to make their own decision, fuck for all i care a satanist cultist could run the damn country as long as he did the job and did it right, and not based on his beliefs, but what benefits the country as a whole, and not his fellow believers.

So if Kansas is teaching them Religion and ceasing an Evolutionary approach, then they are teaching the kids that The Devil is real, and to believe in Him, and to think that God didn't plan for us to evolve. :stoned:
edit: Ask all your Satan-worshipping School Teachers from Kansas what that shit is in the corner of your eye?
