View Full Version : attachments with e-mails
Ive been talking to people about drugs through e-mail
and ive noticed that 2 people who i (was) talk(ing) to have attahcments with every mail they send me.
I was going to open one earlier then thought to myself whoa thats pretty stupid it could be anything....as a matter of fact i dont know these people, they could be cops for all i know!
Do you think there is anything to worry about? or am i being paranoid as usual?
and what do you think are in these attachments.....?
curiosity is getting the better of me.

Depends on how well you know them, it does sounds a little paranoid, I'd be too nosy not to open them
i dont know them....i recieved 3 mails off one of the guys before i noteced all the mail he sent had attachments!
I really wanna know what they are, but then is it worth it......it could just be a big fat virus or somthing shit like that...

unfortunatly there are some nast e-mail worms and AIM worms going arround. i should know i got one from a freind on AIM. your paranoia is well warrented. make sure you check the url of the file. if the SERVER ends in .com thats fine but if the FILE ends in .com thats asking for trouble.

Open the attachments on another computer-an internet cafe or something , then if it is a virus, its not your PC that gets wasted

*lol* That's the first thing I thought of - satisfy your curiosity, and don't have to worry about your computer!

I'm going to go out on the limb and say it was probably a auto-generated copy of the email he sent to you.
Regardless you don't have to open them.
