Okay so I have this really shitty Nissan 1992 Sentra E. Looks like a piece of shit and is one! I need help picking out a sound system, I know absolutly NOTHING about picking one out. I see 700 Watt tweeters on ebay for really cheap. Are those the things on the doors? What other components do I need?? About how much do you think it would be to purchase just a nice sound system, doesnt need to rock the cars next to me but need to be good and crisp enough so that i can jam out when im driving stoned. I think i need a new deck or whatever that thing in my dash is with the little knobs and shit and my tape deck in it because mine only has tape and i need the abilty to listen to CD's in my ride.

Existing sound system sucks and the speaker on my door doesnt work there is a loose wire or something somewhere because iut only comes on every once in a while (every few weeks)

So what all do I need to buy and how much will it be?

well if you want a decent system, i would definately start out by buying a new head unit (the thing that goes in your dash).... here this website is beautiful (although kind of pricey) www.crutchfield.com tweeters are small speakers that deliver very high frequencies, they sound nice, but i dont really thingk they're necessary. If you have money, i suggest getting a nice headunit, replace the stock speakers...that by itself will make a world of difference. if you wanted it to sound real good, get a nice 4 channel amp to run to the speakers, and maybe a sub with a 4-600 watt amp to it....oh and when ya look at the specs for speakers and amps, dont ever go by the peak power...always gop by the RMS rating...that is a mroe realistic number for power output... damn im high this probly makes no sense but ah well, hope itr helps

stop by your local dealer(car audio, that is) tell him how much you want to spend on a system and he can match a system up for you. Then you could either install it yourself or let them do it right the first time without the headaches you may incur.

If your into the bass check out Lightening audio, Rockford Fosgate subs. Dang they rumble. Two 12's and you'll be tearing the place down!

Well I dont want to spend over $1k
But what could I get for around $400 (like i said it doesn't have to be a godly sound system, just has to be enough so that its clear and nice bass (not so much bass that it shakes the cars next to me) and a headunit that looks nice and has a CD player) nothing super fancy.

Well here's a question: what one or two things could i buy for a total of $50 that would really improve the overall sound of my car?

check this out homie since you stay in flagstff you should drive to the hood.all the homies like the sounds and its alot cheaper.they know what they are doing and for like 3-4 hundred bucks they will have you bumpin.if not then get some monster cables for wiring, get a good amp like an orion or kicker and for the sentra i would get like 4 10" kickers.also youll need some mids like some 5 1/2 or 6 " for the doors.run the power cable the red one from your battery to a fuse box to your amp.the black wire is the ground .just screw that to the frame of the vehicle.the blue wire is the remote.from the amp to the head unit.really easy and fun to hook it up.good luck

Why dont you get 2 6x9's nice ones and a nice cd player. Then we'll work from there. The 6x9's will give you a kick of bass while the tweeter gives nice treble. Go to Ebay!!

ps them subs look like shit, 2 nice 6'9 will be better. since you're a beginner and all
