seedlings under lights

hi. just put seedlings under flourescent lamp, at what height should lamp be above seedlings. dont want to burn them but dont want them to stretch for light either....can you help?

ide say 2 inches. Mine were just slightly burned at 1 inch and 2 inches should be fine.
