When you "Get high" what actually changes? I never really understood it. I'm not talking about chemicals and your brain and stuff but more like what its actually changing about reality. What is different from when you aren't stoned?
I've been thinking about people who never have tried drugs. To them the world that we live in doesnt exist. They have no idea of even comprehending what its like to be "High". I think that the first time you get high you're permanently changed. But not in a bad way but once you have gotten high I think alot more of your mind is open. Or maybe my marijuana addiction is just saying that so that it can rationalize itself and I can keep feeding that addiction.
I make alot of retarded posts on these forums but what do you all think of me? I'd like to hear some different perspectives on me.

I am high right now, lets take it from the top ;)
I don't really know, you think into things a lot and about the significance of them.
You view things from other people's perspectives.
I don't have a problem with you, you seem like a cool bloke :)
you know ive thought about somthing close to that before....i thought that maybe once you are high you never actually go back to being sober again...like you are always still stoned to a certain extent.....but then i shrugged off the idea.....
I've also thought, the other night when i wasn't really enjoying being so high...what its like to be high....but words cannot describe the feeling....just mellow i guess.....being mellow :) lol
but yeah you seem like a cool guy.....its kinda hard to know what anyone is really like on here.....someone may say somthing that may change your opinion about them for ever but it was really just a missunderstanding.....get what i mean....but i have seen you here many times before and you seem mellow :D

I think thats how being high is to. It calms you makes you steady (kinda counteracted by the short term memory loss but that improves the more you smoke) and filters out all the crazy bullshit that we dont need/want.
I think that when I did shrooms for the first time it changed something in me. Opened up my eyes and shit. Mushrooms are probably one of the most amazing things ive tried. Anyone who hasn't done shrooms definitely should.

i think people who smoke marijuana on a daily basis have always had an open-mind. the only thing that changes when i'm high is the physical feelings and/or an amplification of the thinking process, vice versa. soon enough your "addiction" will be rationalized and you will understand. i've finally reached a level in my mind that doesn't urge me to smoke marijuana. if it's around and i'm not doing anything i'll smoke, but recently i've had this feeling that i don't need marijuana to function properly. i've known this, but even when i don't have any to smoke i'm not constantly thinking about it.
your a very cool person, dazen. and i'm sure a lot of people on this board can relate to the feelings and thoughts your having. the number one rule in life is to realize that your not alone. yes, it's obvious, but sometimes we get that feeling that no one else will understand. we're all connected on an invisible plane. later, man.

I always looked at it like this... We already have a bunch of gates open in the brain, to receive information. It's like one is closed but when you "get high" it opens up that gate and allows for more info to get through... not much more... but still enough so that it's noticable(sp) and if you look into it. Then you realize... you'll pick out the stupid from the non-stupid. Pick out bullshit away from everything else... or something to that effect.

When I watch movies when I'm stoned I'm thinking about how crappy a job they are doing or how good.
You just seem more concentrated and mellow.

i zone out, and i start thinking about a multitude of thoughts from different facets.
it basically just gets my mind working when i'm quiet and still.

i would say that the first few times u get high are the last times u are sober for a while. i noticed and almost freaked out when i realized that my perspectives of reality changed permanantely 24/7 after doing weed for like 2 months.

actually weed didnt changed me that much
i mean yes it can open your mind, but it can stop you frm opening your mind after a certain amount of time...
like when u start smoking, wow, everything is new, new perspective, etc, but after a year, or whatever, a lot of ppl seem to regress you know. they are jut like too vedgetable and they dont think bout anything. they just smoke dumbly and are stupid.
intelligent persons will evoluate greatly with weed, and stupid ones will evoluate a bit to regress even more after
maybe what i said is dumb but oh well i love beer so who cares

yeah, i'm always compelled to listen to music. i even sit down and put on a song, listen to it, and then get up and resume what i was doing sometimes. i'll do that sober, even. but when i'm stoned... all of that is "amplified" in my head, and i typically get into music more.

oh yeah, and that classic feeling like you just got punched in the chest, and you can feel the tingle in your throat and your eyes get heavy.
everyone here knows what i'm talking about. thats basically the one thing that still lets me know i have THC running through me. theres certain environments where i can't actively feel the high. sometimes it's the temperature, etc...
