In a hung string fiber lamp thing. I have like 7 bugs living there and they sometimes fly off the lamp for food and up the chain to have walk across my wall. They have been here for about a week now, and the first day I saw 'em they weren't on the lamp but all over my ceiling... traversing the bumpy jungle towards there new home.
It like a new pet! I'm am high right now...

Hahah, that's so cool! So many of us here have found bugs some place or another and have kept them as pets. I know someone rescued a snail and another found an orange worm in their bud (not sure if he kept it though). I love lady bugs =]

Well, it's the first time I've let bugs (Or any one bug) live in my room. I don't like bugs, but well... this time it's different... ladybugs won't do no harm and they aren't nasty like I find most bugs to be. So I kept 'em around. Plus, now I hear that they are good luck. ;)

lucky fellow. the best I get is a spider once a week that so friggin big it makes me jump up on my desk and scream like a girl lol. especially since we have black widows. one of the worst was when i was on the computer, at this site actually, and I realized there was a HUGE FUCKING BROWN SPIDER on my hand that was on the mouse.

you guys r making me itchy..... :/ No, i like bugs they r cool. I'll kill a bee, wasps, and ants but i'll spare the spiders and take em outside.
When I lived in Puerto rico beetles would fall from the sky everywere i enjoyed keeping them and letting them crawl on me. One day i wish to own my very own Millipead those things r so cool!

are there no milipead's in australia? (I think it was australia you lived in, correct me if I'm wrong).
lol, though I can't say I understand your bug execution logic. I make a point of never killing anything, but unfortunately spiders still scare the living shit out of me, so I make an exception for them. yes, I know I shouldn't, *sigh*.

ah I remember now! I was thinking of lulu. lulu/lily, very close names. what ever happened to lulu anyway?
I didn't know centipeads are poisonous, are you sure? when I was a little kid I would take them as pets all the time and let them crawl on my hand, nothing ever happened. though I've heard there's poisonous and non-poisonous breeds, don't know if that's true.

What's up with stoners and making everything a pet. I have this friend who will give everything he gets a name and treat it like a pet.

They hibernate for the winter. In college we would get thousands of them in the corners of our rooms.

Ah yes the lovely Lulu. No worries mang and i see Lulu post from time to time.
I think she lives in Ireland thoz.
There probibly r diffrent kinds of breed, i mean theres such thing as both centipeads and millipeads which r quite similar species. When i was smaller i would go to Borders book store every friday or saturday and every other friday a lady frum the Humane center(sp?lolz) would bring animals and bugs and reptiles and such she was the one who introduced me to Millipeads and she said that centipeads were the posoinious ones. *shrugs*

If you ever have a spider mite infestation those Lady Bugs will be a godsend...They love them and you will not want to get rid of them as they are beneficail's and some folks spend good money just to have them in there growing enviornment<<<

Those lady bugs get in here about this time of year too. I still see a few of them as late as January walking around the ceiling or walls. I've found that if I leave little puddles of water around the bathroom sink in the morning after shaving, the bugs will drink. Also, If you pick them up and help them over to a houseplant, you'll have made them very, very happy.
bugs need love too....

I once had a ladybug pet at college (for a few days).
When I visited a girl in West Virginia, she had ladybugs all over her ceilings. She said the State of West Virginia pays California to dump their ladybugs near her home.
They stunk.

This spider came down on a little thread, i thought i was going to kill it. Thing was so cool, big red hairy. i found out that it's a brown reckloose, and put it in a tank with a pice of tree for it to chill in. i would leave a plastic cup with a teaspoon of soda in it on the ground. after i had a bunch of ants i would take them up to the spider, dump out the cup and watch him go nuts. then i found out that they are one of the deadlyest spiders in my region. so i let him go in park. i used to have a praying mantis to, but i had to let it go.

I heard that it's bad luck to kill ladybugs. Also they're supposed to be good for plants warding off other lil buggies.
