Well i need a little advice ive been reading up about salvia and its effects and have decided i want to try it to see if i like the experiance or not. So i looked around and found salviaworld.com. So my question is since im going to be using it for the first time what method should i use just smoke it or what? And should i just buy leaves from salviaworld or the extract and is so which one 5x or 10x? I know the 15 or 20 would be way too intense for me seeing ive never done it before.

Stray away from the Salvia leaf and the 5x extract, as myself, found it very weak and a waste of money. For starters though, go with the 10x. VERY powerful. Good luck.

I wouldn't mess with the leaves just because you have to smoke so much of them to obtain effects, but I don't find the 5x extract lacking at all. Start small. It can be very scary and overwhelming. Use a sitter for the first time.

i was try salvia oil with the salvia leafs , the same method with honey oil but it is a lil sick ,smells shitty,no good smoking pleasure etc (but i was ill and my throat was bad alil when i try it )

apparently there is a gene you can have that prevents salvia effecting you in anyway shape or form.......i thought that was pretty crazy......even though it might not be true....either way.....it effected me

I do believe its true, some people simply arent affected I believe salvia to be a hypnotic, not everyone can be hypnotized but about 10% of the population is capable of "sonambulism" which means they can be hypnotized and not even remember what they did on it. So I dont doubt a few people may be having some sort of experience, salvia is widely overblown, overhyped and exploited, A few years back the same claim was made of syrian rue which most people simply puked there gut up on (you had to ingest it) - I dont concider salvia recreational at all or even fun and thats the way people have chosen to market it, if it had anywhere near the experience as people claim it would have been made illegal long ago, I concider it more legal high bull.

Legal high bull? I wouldn't go that far but you're right, it isn't at all recreational. My experiences with it were way too disorienting to be of any use to me, but they were legitimate experiences. I think you have to become familiar with the substance to really use it. I think your state of mind is critical as well. Blame the marketing, not the plant, because it simply isn't a "drug" as we know them today. It is an entheogen: a substance taken to bring on a spiritual experience.

Never believe the hype. Always do your own research. It wasn't for me, and that's okay.

Here, Salvia has become quite big; I've heard of it a few years back but never had a desire to try it. It's 20-40 a g here, but out prices are normally higher then most places (richy bitch town). I'm not sure what they're selling exactly though, leaves I'm assuming. The trip is supposedly only 10-30 minutes long though. But anyway, if that's true; dive into it as long as you're in a safe place/have a sitter.

I've tried x5 Salvia a few times now over the past few years and I have to say that this is the trippiest shit I know off, although it only comes on strong for a matter of minutes, then it's just a sort of pleasant stoned affect for the next 20 minutes. I'd reccommend x5 to start with and if you can handle it and you enjoy it then you can skip right up to x15 or 20. It's easy to underestimate the strength of salvia and it has little social quality (as someone else said, it's an entheogen and I think it was used by aztecs for spiritual enlightenment) so I wouldn't advise you to light it up at a party cos trying to communicate during the full affects of salvia will probably just confuse you and ruin the visual quality of the drug!

Smoke it with some mates in a dark room with some cool music in the background and maybe a small candle light to help bring you back to reality. And make sure you use a turbo lighter to heat it in the pipe or bong as Salvia works best at very high temperatures. Sometimes you hear people moaning because they smoked it in a spliff and felt nothing but it just doesnt get hot enough.

Next time I'll try x10 or x 15 because I've exhausted my tolerance to x5 now and last time it wasnt so strong, but still very crazy!!!! I normally feel displaced for three or four minutes, sometimes in a boat in the ocean, sometimes in a green house in a garden or in a street full of people. Once I was playing Super Mario with a mate and when he took a few hits of Salvia he said he felt like he became part of the game and was jumping around with mario (even though in reality he was just sitting still with his eyes closed). Atmosphere and mood is important and I dont abuse Salvia like I do with other drugs and alcohol. I have so much respect for this drug.........

20 quid sounds about right from a gram of x15, if you look around you might be able to find it cheaper but only about two years ago they were selling this for about 30 quid in hedshops. I also found this website that claimed to sell x40 extract, which they called horsekiller (I wasnt sure if it was a joke but this sounds like the kind of shit that would leave you feelin lost for about 6 months after you smoked it)

Lol! I did buy x24 from the headshop but after watching someone else freak right out on it, I didnâ??t really take proper hits as I was scared of the same thing happening to me so I didnâ??t really break through plus I used a normal lighter
So for peace of mind I have went for the x15, hopefully it should arrive in the next few days and I can post my trip report on here!

Yeah I'm Scotland, as far as i know they were made illegal everywhere in the UK, but then again I could be wrong. I'd love to get a hold of osme mushrooms, I saw some growing on a grassy bit on a busy road but didnt want to look like a nutjob plucking them out the ground lol!

SensiRide, surely the same people you smoke salvia with will eat mushrooms with you. I live in the middle of the city and its difficult to get out and look for shrooms and the season is almost over and i cant even buy the ones I want anymore, except for those horrible amanita muscaria. Salvia is a three-times-a-year-thing, I can't get hold of psilocybe, amanita is horrible and mescaline cactus tastes like shit so I'm stuck for psychedelics right now! Anyone have any ideas or how you can get cactus cheaply (less than £25 for 25 grams!!!). What is the best way to turn it into a drinkable substance that doesnt taste so shit and doesnt destoy the mescaline?? I've even resorted to eating baby woodrose seeds but that was probably the most pointless thing ive done. Any ideas??

1 gram of x10 will be enough, depending on how many people you're going to smoke it with. You can take quite a few hits from a gram so if it's just you by yourself or with a mate then 1g of x10 will last you for a few hours. It depends of how hard you wanna hit this stuff. I like to have a few drinks, listen to some music and we'll get through it in 2 or 3 hours without going mad. Salvia comes on quickly and is pretty fucking intense for what seems like 5 or 10 minutes but might actually be only a minute or two so really you wanna space it out over an evening, maybe smoke some weed and have a few drinks in between.

If you plan on smoking with a crowd of mates then get more, but too many cooks spoil the broth when it comes to Salvia because its a pretty personal drug that needs a quiet, relaxed and darkened atmosphere for you to really enjoy it. At least, thats what I think. I wouldnt compare it to shrooms in any way because you eat shrooms with loads of mates and trip together but you'll go far deeper with Salvia although only for a very short time period and it'll be far more personal than a mushroom trip and completely different in so many ways. You might come down feeling elightened, confused, talkative, stoned, paranoid or all of these things but the affects will usually be totally gone in 1/2 an hour. Then you can have some drinks, smoke a spliff and talk about the trip with a friend and maybe go back to the Salvia a bit later on in the evening.

Sorry man, started rambling cos it's 4am, my weed is finished, my beer is long gone and i'm bored. But yeah, 1g is enough for a trippy evening.

Yeah me too, cant locate mushies or acid-wellI got hold of acid once but it was very very weak.
Salvia is the only mind altering substance I can get my hands on.
