Have a great evening.

Hey Onward,
Is this a scientific poll or for entertainment purposes only? I'm in my 30's. I feel like it too, but whenever I smoke a bowl, I feel 20 again. Therefore I conclude that bud is the fountain of youth. :D

Totally for understanding which folks we are talking to in our posts. It's kind of strange to engage in philosophical discussions, then learn that the person on the other end is 40 years younger, still in high school, and whose biggest problems are acne and not getting caught by their folks.... :D

My biggest problem is remembering to actually face the toilet in those late night dream-state trips to the restroom. That and NEVER remembering people from your past. It's really frustrating when people act like you're their long, lost friend and know all about you, and you stare blankly at them wondering who the hell they are!!!

It sucks being middle aged....I can only imagine how rough it's going to be over the next twenty or thirty years. :stoned:

I agree that bud is definitely the fountain of youth....or at least makes growing older more tolerable.

Id agree with all that. Its so funny cause my parents where such a huge thorn in my side in my early years. Now I finally realize its thanks to them I turned out as good as I did.

Its amazing how much you think you know when you are younger and how much you realize as you get older that you will never understand.

Man I grew up so spoiled and easy. However, at the time I just thought everyone was out to get me......LOL

I guess that old saying is true, if I only knew then what I know now. Hrmmm actually Id probably still do it all wrong......LOL I guess you really learn more from your mistakes then your accoomplishments.

Im 34 by the way.

Is it a case of the "older generation" are finding it too diffacult to find good smoke or are they all going into pollitics? Or perhaphs like the dinosaurs we are all becoming extinct. I sustect it's the latter.

Howdy Onward,

I'm 46..going on 47..before I know it,I'll be in the 50's group .. lol.

I hate to see y'all struggling out there to find smoke, the supply around here,is pretty good right now,I've been gittin halfs of some skunky smoke for 45 $,it is the Fall, after all,and the harvest is coming in it seems..so I'm hoping that y'all can find some decent smoke soon. Are ya looking for street-grade smoke or them 'hydro' buds ? For the price,street-grade smoke is almost as good,in my opinion, just takes a little more to reach the full effect.

Have a good one !

Hey Torog,
Good to see you on the boards. Haven't seen you in a while. I'm struggling because my contact, a student, left town. It's hard to meet people who you trust and who smoke. I don't know where to start. Can't talk about it at the office, can't talk to the neighbors about it. When you've got a wife and kids it's too risky to go looking for street weed. I've had some luck with mailorder, but it certainly isn't foolproof.

Hey Torog. Hang on to a big ol' bag of that skunky local stuff for me. I may come begging in a few days. And I'll definitely share!!

Glad to see you post again. I hadn't seen you on here in a few weeks. Hope you're doing okay.

Well, off to bed. You guys have a great night.

I hear you.....I spent several hours Sunday doing chores and manual labor. Now all the things that used to pass for muscles hurt like hell. Hope your hip heals quickly.

Maybe some of us 40's and 50's burnouts can start up a ruckus like those idiot kids in Paris are doing. Only instead of burning cars and houses, we could just fire up a fat boy and tell stories about the good old days, boring everyone to death. It might not make CNN or FOX, but maybe the local access channel could at least come over and interview a few of us between naps..... :smokin:

Howdy bssman,

Yup..I've been checking in on the threads and hadn't seen many to post in,mainly because I didn't have much to contribute,I may have alot of posts to my credit, but they are mostly all because I had something to say or contribute..lol..I don't believe in making alot of piddlin posts..lol.

I hear ya when it comes to yer situation..been there, done that..it finally drove me to learn how to grow my own smoke, but at a big risk, and I didn't like that..and now I wish that I could grow again, but I ain't got the means to do so at this time..it drives me nutty, when I have to put up with street-grade smoke all of the time, but it's pretty good at times, too.

Have a good one !

Hi Torog. Glad to hear that you're still kicking. Since we only know our friends on the forum as anonymous nicknames, when someone disappears for awhile, I worry that they either got taken down or something else bad that might have happened.

We're doing okay these days. Kind of battling some issues just like everyone. But for the most part things are going in a positive direction.

Was over in Miserable Wells this past weekend, just driving through. Thought about you while passing through town. I used to drive through there at least twice each month, but since moving east I rarely get over there anymore.

How's your health these days? The back holding up? Are you feeling the effects of middle age as bad as I am lately? This cold front tonight instantly brought stiffness and soreness to my back and knees. Don't you just LOVE getting older???? I guess it beats the alternative. :D

Take care!

Hey torog, I hear there's some climbing in Mineral Wells... maybe a state park or something? Got any tips?

Thanks for the invite Torog. I'll sure take you up on it. I know you don't get over to this part of the area often, but sometimes I do have to go to Weatherford, Mineral Wells, and Graham. Sometimes even to Archer City and Jacksboro.

When you were roughnecking, did you ever do any off-shore work? Or only on dry land?

Howdy simplestyle3,

Yup..there's a State Park, called Lake Mineral Wells and they have a good rock-climbing area there. There's some pretty good fishing there too and they have basic camp-sites and screened in cabins with electric and water.

Howdy Onward,

Well ..like I said, just give me a holler and I'll give ya my phone number so we can git together.

I did all my rough-necking on dry land, mostly down around Austin,Giddings,La Grange and Bastrop,at depths up to 10,800 feet,so we always got some good ol slow-drilling days in.

Have a good one !
