THC and Copulation

OK so me and my girl plan to have our first child soon but I got her off the stuff for a bit to clean her system, don't want the child having any problems.

I myself also am going clean during this period until conception (lucky me!)

Since cannabis goes back in time for who knows how many millions of years, i am pretty sure our ancestors, and even people more recently than that, have had THC in their systems during pregnancy or copulation (male and female).

So my question is: if both male and female have THC in system and have intercourse and she gets pregnant, is this a no-no?

Like, what kind of side affects could happen to the child?

Is it worse or safer than smoking or drinking during pregnancy?

I am almost 100% sure that it is more safe than drinking during pregnancy.

It's never good to have weird chemicals in your system during pregnancy. I don't know of any study showing that weed is harmful or beneficial to a young child, but I've also never seen any study listing -any- outside substance as beneficial to a fetus. My advice would be to take a break for a while, and find out more from a health care professional.

After all, if you have to stay sober for 9 months, it's not the end of the world.

i have three children.i smoke every day.i honestly believe that it makes the kids more aware.my son who is nine is an honor roll student and my baby girl who is 18 months is way more advanced than other kids her age.i think mj is ok especially for the dizzy.also pregnant chicks trip so instead of getting mad just go blaze

evolutionist side says that our bodies adapt to situations, and are passed on through our genes.


and the naturalist side of me goes hand in hand with the evolutionist, as civilization stems evolution by living in (certian) comforts.

western medicine, certian foods, but moreso the methods of aquiring them, comfort in general, most of which is provided through laws/government, stem evolution.

we no longer adapt to our situation, but try to adapt the situation to us...

I've heard/read that 'Marijuana babies' seem to have a really high pitch squeal when they cry. And your DNA is damaged from smoking pot and passed on genetically. True or not.. It can only help the situation before and after pregnancy to cut the smoking down or out completely. Don't stress about it though, whats done is done and I'm sure the kid will turn out fine.
