Well youre best bet is a lowryder plant, which is going to be my next crop ... because I have ordered Lowryder x Master Kush ---- here http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?category=MDanzig+seeds or you could buy normal Lowryder which is really stealthy also odor wise.

i started once to flower my plant at 6 inch high and worked well, good potency but not too good looking, so your guess....

I also grow within minimal vertical space restrictions. I usually start to go into the 12/12 cycle as soon as the plants hit 8" to 10" tall from the soil or medium (if hydro). I also use those spiral CFL (compact flourecent Light) for vegging as I keep the light very close to the plants (1' to 2") which also holds down the vertical growth.

The plants will at least double in hieght from there and some strains triple in hieght before they are finished flowering. That means that they will be 16" to 24" tall (from the soil) when done. Indica strains are shorter and Sativa strains are taller.

In my own case I used both the SCROG or the LST techniques to control vertical space. Search this and other boards for more info on these.

My next grow is being done as SOG and I will root the clones for 2 weeks and then veg them for 2 weeks and then go right into 12/12. Should result in a sea of single cola small plants. I will grow them with about 5" spacing (center to center) and expect they will get no taller than 16" to 20" from the growing medium. (Hydro this time out)

Don't forget to figure in the space needed for your lights and a proper distance from the light to the plants to avoid burning.

hope this helps,
Max Blast

you can take a seedling and place it under 12/12 anytime you want...I would wait a week at least...goodluck...remember in equatorial regions there is no 18/6...My current grow (I'm mixing 1st week flower nutes in a few minutes) I started at 17/9 progressively dropping light times by an hour every 2 weeks. Now I'm at 13/11 this week in transition (no nutes)...Sorry, I just wanted to let you know that 18/6 and 12/12 are only what someone decided; would emulate a day/season of sunshine.

Torog posted a thread by DJShort awhile back where the grower used 13/11- 11/13
throughtout grow...so basically, you can do with the lights, what you want; As long as your consistent...hope this shines some light :)lol... on the subject

another way is to grow the plant 12-20 inches.. and then clone the HECK out of it.. only leaving the lowest node.. hopefully that will be around 2-4 inches.. let it grow for a couple days and flower...

then, put the clones in a small rockwool cube.. when the roots shoot out the bottom... put them in the next biggest size cube.. 2X4.... when the roots poke out the bottom.. switch to 12/12.... many people have used this technique

attached are seven clones that have rooted and are almost ready to flower.. the cubes are put in a circle around 1 - 150watt - cfl.

the cfl is sitting in a glass cylinder so that the leaves will not get burnt

that's cool GK...I still have about 80 1x1 rockwools, but I have been trying the rapid rooters. Like them so far.

Late,

What are the "Rapid Rooters" you refer to?
