Holy Crap, just got my electric bill...

I hooked up my new lights last month(600w hps) have them on for 12 hours a day...my electric bill shot up $35 a month...nearly double what I was paying the month before...is this normal...
Now I know why smoke is getting expensive...

Summer is when they hit ya hard. You've got AC's going not to mention dryer's/washers, etc., whereas in the winter when you uninstall all the ac's in your house it brings the power level closer to normal, sort of 'evening things out..'
