Pls Help - Stages of Growth

What stages of growth do plants go through, such as vegetative growth, flowering etc etc?? And what stages does the plant have to go through before it is perfect to smoke?? Any replies would be gr8!!!! :rasta:

Seedlings (from seed to a small plant... up to 5 nodes or less)
Vegetative growth
Flowering stage (buds are made)

Stages for the plant being perfect to smoke?
Um, after it goes through the flower stage, you cut it, dry it (30 days aprox) and then smoke it. :)

once again - cheers alot turtle, you cleared alot up for me, but left with one small question, what is a node?? :rasta:

a node is the area where a branch emerges, branches start out straight across from each other, as the plant matures the nodes start to alternate,this is a sign of maturity.

looking at the trich development is a perfect way to know when to harvest, they look like a lollypop ,a ball on a stick, the ball changes from clear ( light heady high) to cloudy ,then they start to turn amber (more couch lock high) alot of people like a 80% cloudy and 20% amber.

it takes 45 to 120 days to finish flowering, I would say 65 to 90 is average.
