anyone who lives in colorado make sure u read this. i just turned 18 and don't know how the system works for bills and ballots but on NOV 1st make sure you vote yes or w/e it is to approve the I-100 bill on SAFER (Safer Alternative For Enjoyable Recreation) this will essentially equalize alcohol and marijuana so a 21 or older adult can carry and privately use up to a ounce of marijuana. beats me how ur gonna get it but at least u can use it!! lol just wanted to make sure u all knew about that and voted for it. tuesday Nov 1st bill number I-100 (SAFER) vote YES!!!!! :rasta:

no no

i live in denver and that initiative IS on the voting ballot

not state, but citywide, so it would only take effect in denver. its not really that big a deal, considering most crimes under an ounce of posession are already only ticketed and treated not very highly.

it still wouldnt change situations, such as being at a college. if your at a college, the drug is still illegal by federal laws and you can be kicked out.

plus, the law draws more federal enforcement (DEA for example) out to colorado where they know the local laws are laxer.

These types of votes are about the greater good. They set precedents and get people thinking. It's less about Denver and more about rejecting federal control of Cannabis. Most states don't take kindly to federal interference of voter-approved initiatives, I don't care what the subject-matter.

And yes, this is a real vote taking place in Denver. I don't live anywhere near there but it has been all over the national news for a number of weeks.

Wow dude, im surprised, this is a step in the right direction.

I just saw it on the news, they had some clip of a guy rolling a joint. This could lead the way for other states to pass similar bills.

Awesome news. Congratulations Denver. I figured that something like that would happen here in Portland first, well mabey now it will. Here's hoping
I can't wait till other cities and then whole states catch on to this type of foreward thinking, a truly free country is just around the corner.

Portland Oregon? Cause you know in Oregon you can possess under an ounce, although if you are caught, the most you'll get is a $500 fine.
