Do you still need fertilizer if you are growing in straight worm castings?

What the hell???? You won't get very far trying to grow MJ in JUST worm castings man..., there are other elements: peat, perlite... I don't even think a seed would sprout... but worm castings are good (make sure you have live ones) for eliminating salt and other buildups in your grow medium

A safe mix is 2 quarts perlite 1 quart vermiculite and 2 quarts peat moss.. I'm assuming your using a gallon (5 qt.) pot?

Hmmm, so if I think I suspect I might have salts buildup I should sprinkle some worm poo on my soil?

some people use worm poo, and it is effective, don't get me wrong... but digging up handful of live worms makes all the difference :) that way there is a constant yet suffecient release of fresh worm poo (they're constantly eating, therefore constantly shitting..)

worm shit.. and no they dont fuck up roots.. with that logic we would have no plant life on earth, condsiering worms inhabit the larger part of earth's crust :D

worms airate the soil dude, it's win freakin win baby.

on a downnote - digging up worms from outside might lead to harmful bacteria in your soil. YOU WERE WARNED

yep that's another upside.. but i do agree, don't just grab a wad of worms from outside and throw em into your soil.. you can purchase live worms that are safe to use as your local garding shop or online store. the soil i use already comes packed with live worms and other goodies.. fox farm is the best soil in the world
