Jerusalem: The Israeli army will resume its policy of killing targeted Palestinian militants, following the suicide bombing in which five Israelis were killed, military radio said.
The radio said that Defence Minister Shaul Mofaz had given the green light for the policy of targeted assassinations, aiming particularly at Islamic Jihad, which yesterday claimed the first deadly attack inside the Jewish state since September's historic pullout from the Gaza Strip. The five Israelis were killed and dozens of others wounded when a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up by a food stall in a busy marketplace. Responsibility for the attack in the town of Hadera was claimed by the Islamic Jihad movement which said it was in retaliation for Israel's killing of its military commander for the West Bank at the weekend.
Israel, which froze contacts with the Palestinian Authority (PA) earlier this month after a deadly shooting in the West Bank, said the attack highlighted the PA's inability to rein in militants. The Israeli army also plans to seal the border between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and Israel by closing crossing points, the military radio said.
The northern West Bank, from where the suicide bomber came, would also be closed and Palestinians banned for the foreseeable future from travelling in car between different places in the region, the radio said.

Considering this last bombing and the Iranian President calling for the destruction of Israel, can ya really blame them?
