Thats funny ive actually eaten some shrooms in school before(not particularly proud of it), it was my first time and i didnt expect it would do much, but it did.
I was having a pretty hard time feeling in control and not sketchy. I felt sketchy as hell tho even tho my friends assured me i was acting pretty normal.
Overall a very sketchy tripping experience.

I never understood how you guys can do all of that shit in school. Nothing against it, but I know if I was on acid in school, I would probably be coming down of that trip in the back of a police car.

I tried 600mg of DXM (it was my 3rd time doing that much and I thought I could control myself.. whew was I wrong) when I went to school. It was pretty nuts, I have to say. I enjoyed myself a lot, but I didn't really get anything done at school, because I would just stare at a piece of paper and my pen and get really confused, and what the teacher was saying made no sense to me. I mostly just sat in the back and listened to music and closed my eyes.

Agreed...
I can't do any of that, before going to school, or at school..
After school though, :stoned:

Learning? Tell me, what the fuck do you learn in high school that you haven't already been taught? What makes high school important? High school is a fucking joke. Wake the fuck up, and don't be a dick just because you are actually dull enough to believe that something actually gets accomplished in high school.
And misuse of drugs? You're a chump. Maybe when you're part of our government, you can tell people when it's right and when it's wrong to use drugs....and maybe then, you still won't be taken seriously. -_-
By the way - it's politics and religion that gave drugs a bad name. Addicts and idiots are just that...addicts and idiots. Without the criminalization and demonization of drugs, do you think drugs would have a bad name simply because of idiots and addicts? - No. Alcohol still doesn't have a really bad name. :-\
Bad call on the cid in school, though. Been there, done that....Unfortunately, it's not as fun as I had thought before it. Had a friend that used to always trip at school....tripped at work...dosed before a 'special meal' or special occasion...whatever...odd dude, but very intelligent and very chill.

There are so many things wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin.
1) It is my right as a human being to consume whatever I want to, whenever I want to so long as I do not hurt another living soul while on this planet. Who are you to judge someone for their drug use?
2) The education in the states is HARDLY "good" compared to the majority of the world. In fact, we're one of the lowest rated. The country as a whole takes it's education for granted, and we're stuck with their sub-par lesson plans unless we can afford to drop THOUSANDS of dollars on a private school.
And what does Africa have to do with anything? They don't need education, they need food. What are they going to do with an education? Go out there and make something of themselves? Become a bio-engineer? Get real.
3) If he would have gotten caught, it wouldn't have done shit. He would have gotten in trouble. That's all. Even if there was a story printed in the local newspaper, it would be mostly constructed of lies and it would just promote ignorance about the drug. What's fucking new about that? It happens every day, even with other drugs. Even with other drugs that are said to have numerous positive effects, they still demonize them. It's no one's fault but the people in charge.
4) High school is for people who are not prepared to pursue real education. It's just government regulated busy work. Why do people go? That's the person's choice. I dropped out my junior year and am now in my second year at a local university. I could go into my credits and grades, but I don't need to prove to anyone that I do not lack intelligence.

I don't bother attempting to discuss this sort of thing with people anymore as they've been brainwashed for so long and hard into believing all the propaganda shoved up their ass since birth. All it takes is five minutes of clear thought to realize that nearly every aspect of society is so incredibly flawed that it's almost amusing. Nobody reads between the lines. I think it's ironic that I typically come across as the abuser of drugs or a failure simply because I express logical ideas. That or point out a flaw in a hostile attack against someone else. High School is completely a big waste of time but it's the time where they like to teach kids comformity, get your unbelieveable amounts of homework done and follow the rules, when all the while telling us it's education. Not really. The way things work now is, no matter wether or not you're qualify... no matter if you're a freaking genius... you still GOTTA pass school or else you're just some bum. It's fucked up.

??I think it's interesting, the two drugs that are legal - alcohol and cigarettes, two drugs that do absolutely nothing for you at all - are legal, and the drugs that might open your mind up to realize how you're being fucked every day of your life, those drugs are against the law. Coincidence? See, I am glad mushrooms are against the law, 'cause I took 'em one time, and you know what happened to me? I lay in a field of green grass for four hours, going, 'My God, I love everything'. Yeah, now if that is not a hazard to our country... No, not really. I had a friend in school who really was a genius. Problem was school just didn't suit him too well. He was in and out of juvenile hall most of the time and finally dropped out of school for good in his junior year. But the guy really was fucking smart and taught himself a shitload about computers, networks, etc. He now makes over $120k a year as a networking expert. All without a high school diploma and while smoking weed pretty much all day long every day.
Some people are like that, they'll make it no matter what. But some people don't pass and get called a bum because they are fucking bums. I did shitty in high school and barely graduated. I was a bum. After graduating I fucked around for a few years before getting my shit together and deciding to go to college. I worked my ass off in college and finally graduated when I was 28. Now I have a pretty good job and make a decent salary. Not as much as my friend but we're not all geniuses. Anyhow, it did take a lot of work and and I deserve what I got. So fuck any lazy ass kid in high school who's bitching about the hard work he has to deal with.
The reason people who go to high school, then go on to college, and then go on to good jobs that make more money than those who don't, is because they are more qualified. They deserve the job more. Plain and simple. If I'm going to hire someone I want the person who's most qualified and 9 times out of 10 the guy with the degree is going to be more qualified that the high school drop out.
Life is about work. If you don't want to do the work don't expect to get the rewards. You think you've got it hard now, with "unbelieveable amounts of homework done and follow the rules"? High school is EASY. Try college if you want to see unbelievable amounts of homework. And follow the rules? It aint any different once you're out and working. Unless you own your own business and make the rules you still have to conform and follow the rules of the people you work for. Just because high school is over doesn't mean life suddenly becomes so easy. It never ends. 15 years from now you'll look back and wish you could go back to the good old days when everything was much less stressful. Trust me on this.

With any luck they'll wind up like me. Well, maybe not like me, I'm nothing special, but they can do what I did. Like I said, I did shitty in high school. I didn't give a shit. I was stoned almost every day. I did acid and shroomed in school too. I barely graduated. After a few years of shitty jobs and screwing around though I went back to a junior college and then on to a regular university where I finally got my bachelor's degree. It took a while because I was working full time while going to school but the point is that it can be done. And, I actually value those few years after high school when I screwed around. I did a lot of travelling, rockclimbing, backpacking, etc. I followed the Grateful Dead around for a while and had a generally good time. It really opened my mind but I just started to realize that there was something more and needed a change.
Oh, sorry to everyone if I sounded like an ass in my last post. That wasn't my intention. I've just come to that point in my life where I finally realize that it doesn't get any better. When I was in high school I always thought "life will be great when I get out" but it wasn't. When I was in college I always thought "life will be great when I graduate and get a good job" but it wasn't. When my wife and I were saving to buy our home I thought "life will be great when we have our own house" but it...well you get the picture. Things change and old stresses go away, but new ones come up just as quickly. Nothing comes for free.
So, my advice is live each day to it's fullest. Enjoy what you have and what you are doing today. Whatever period in your life you may be in, because if you don't enjoy today while its here you'll never get another chance.

lol dude first off, heroin isnt pushed in our faces because its bad you fuckin dipshit. second of all your theory is flawed since America went through prohibition and clearly that didnt work. third there is something called drinking socially, meaning, people can enjoy alchohol without throwing up and apssing out. Third, alchohol does get a bad rap. Not sure I know too many teenagers whos parents encourage drinking at this stage and later on in there life.
ok, now onto your nonsensical, utterly irrational thoughts:
1) IDK, i wouldnt say its your right to consume other human flesh. cannibis has proved to be alright for the most part, but i dont know too many heroin addicts who enjoy there curent situation of living. Maybe we can help out other people by keeping heroin and other drugs away from them. This way they doont become miserable fucks who become menaces and mooch off of the rest of coherent society.
2)Education in the states is fine. WTF are you basing that on? statistics that students in the states are doing poorly are a reflection of an amotivational youth that think high school is worthless (you fit into that category quite nicely :D ). I for one, realize that I am getting an exceptional education since I have put forth effort in school and am able to take the classes that are offered which go beyond conventional common sense (apparently, you never went past spelling and adding). Also, there are definatly many Africans who got an education and used it to become bio-engineers and many others that are capable of doing so, but do not have the chance, but would love to have it.
3) I'm not even sure what to say to this except that if logic like this was accepted as a valid arguement, you could quite possibly be one the greatest debators in human history. Lol, he said there would be a story in the newspaper about it (which we could understand where he was coming from, as it would be an important issuse if LSD usage was infact spreading through our schools and kids were shwoing up to school fucked up) and you just said basically "no there wouldnt" where's your logic here? WTF!
4) uhhhhhhhh, again and completely irrational statement. calculus, biology, physics, phsycology, antropology, human conscience, architecture, computer science, language arts, etc.... far form "government regulated busy work" that doesnt teach anything. can open up doors for what a person wants to do with the rest of their life. I know it has for me, as well as 90% (basically everyone except people like you who, well, fail and drop out) of my peers.

Alcohol kills a lot more people than heroin. Like I said before, drugs are neither good nor bad. People can shoot heroin socially, smoke shard without throwing their lives away for it, OR PASS A BOWL AROUND A CIRCLE. There are more broken homes due to alcohol than heroin. Alcohol gets a lot of negative news, but it's still not widely considered "bad."

People throw themselves off cliffs or out of airplanes to get their thrills....come on. And you think my logic is flawed? Rofl.

Like I said, I'm in my second year at UNT and my grades are more than fine, and I did it without high school. The public education in the states is not fine. What world are you living on? Apparently, you've never seen any of Japan's or even India's curriculum. Apparently, you've never been in any low income neighborhoods. Our educational system may be boarderline decent in the OC...but, don't pretend like everything is fine.
Also, regarding Africa...They need opprotunity beyond education. If they had something to apply it to, ya, they would need it. The people to whom I am referring are in the middle of nothing with no way to get anywhere.... I don't think education is their top priority. Maybe food, water, and condoms come first. -_-

Lol, he said there would be a story in the newspaper about it (which we could understand where he was coming from, as it would be an important issuse if LSD usage was infact spreading through our schools and kids were shwoing up to school fucked up) and you just said basically "no there wouldnt" where's your logic here? WTF!
My logic behind that is reality. People show up to school on drugs and get caught all of the time. Has it hurt the counter culture in the slightest? No, but the millions of dollars spent to keep us in jail, without a job, and demonized by the rest of society sure has put a dent in our scene.

How many times to I need to reitterate this? High school is for people who don't know what they want to do. College is for people who do. College is also a lot less sheltered, and they delve into the subjects a lot further than high school. I didn't have psych, antropology, human conscience, or architecture offered at my school. Who are you going to blame that on? Or badass educational system or...me? It's ironic...my intelligence and educational level is being attacked simply because I dropped out, when clearly, I am not the one lacking the college education.

ok, now onto your nonsensical, utterly irrational thoughts:
Your response: Alcohol kills a lot more people than heroin.
My response: i dont know if alchohol kills more than heroin. show me that. plus, if it does, its because a lot more people use alchohol than heroin. and by a lot i mean millions. show me a statistic that says a larger % of alchohol users die from consumption than heroin users. thats the one that counts.
1) IDK, i wouldnt say its your right to consume other human flesh. cannibis has proved to be alright for the most part, but i dont know too many heroin addicts who enjoy there curent situation of living. Maybe we can help out other people by keeping heroin and other drugs away from them. This way they doont become miserable fucks who become menaces and mooch off of the rest of coherent society.

my response: its called a metaphor. people die over drugs whether the people shooting up are the ones doing the killing or not. your need for drugs fuels wars to obtain and control the distribution of them. now tell me: HOW IS THE FACT THAT PEOPLE COMMIT SUICIDE A GOOD REASON FOR HEROIN ADDICTS TO BE ABLE TO LEGALLY USE IT? or people making bad investments for that matter? heroin addicts should not be allowed to get into that situation because whether you choose to accept this or not, they affect everyone in their communities negativley.

my response: too bad you didnt take high school seriously or you could have gotten a better education at a much finer institution than UNT. What classes do you take anyway? Drugs are good 101 maybe? How to earn a living off minimum wage? Show me some of the things in India or Japan's curriculum that I can't learn here? My mom was a teacher in New York city for almost 30 years. She said the problem wasnt the curriculum or the funding, it was the fucking students. In Africa, they could use food, water, condoms, and education. Without it, theyll just prepetuate the cycle they are currently in.

first off: you are lacking education whether you are going to college or not. second off, I said before, maybe if you didnt drop out like a scumbag, you could have gone to a University that does offer all those courses. UNT is one of the best schools in the country for music, how can you disregard the credibility of a university of which you do not even know? It does cover all of those courses, I was referring to my high school.
You believe I lack intelligence as well as education and see me as a minimum wage nothing, but from a realistic perspective, I am a sophomore in college at the age of 18. I didn't miss out on anything. I skipped 2 useless years of shit I could take in college and go way more in depth with it there.
The problem isn't funding? The problem isn't the system? It's the students? Right. Do some research. If you think I'm bullshitting, look it up. Ironically, one of the last reports I did in my high school AP english class was a free essay on the lack or misuse of funding in our schools, I've done the research. Don't challenge me to do it. I know I am right, you are the one that is uncertain.
Last- it's a person's right to put whatever they want into their body, lose however much money they want to gambling, hear the truth on the news, read whatever book, or learn about whatever they want, not without consiquence, of course. But the consiquence should not be enforced by the government. I don't even know where to begin about the war on drugs and it's spiralling effects on America and Americans. Just know this, the majority of the problems that surround drugs stem from the government's fear of anything that makes you realize how much their system sucks.

The problem with education now is that people no longer value the education itself, just the diploma. Who cares if you learn anything as long as you get that magical sheet of paper? It seems people have forgotten that what is really important is not the diploma but the knowledge that it represents.
My old girlfriend's sister is a high school teacher and I can't believe the stories she tells me. Not just about the students, but about the parents and system as well. She had a student who rarely came to class and did not pass a single test. When her parents came for a parent teacher conference the accused her of failing their daughter because she(the teacher) didn't like her. They said their daughter told them she came to all the classes and did great on the tests and if her teacher said otherwise, she was lying. They then demanded that their daughter get at least a B grade for the class. Bottom line is that they only cared that their daughters teacher was failing her, not why she was failing.
But it's not just the parents and students. My girlfriends sister was also told by the administration that she was grading too harshly. She showed me a paper written by one of her students that she had to give a B grade on and I couldn't believe it. When I was in high school (class of '87) it would have gotten an F, no doubt about it. But she had to give it a B. Why, because more students need to pass the class and get their diplomas. It's no wonder why over 30% of the students entering the California State University system need remedial math and English.
High school should prepare you to enter into college. To say that it is only "shit I could take in college " is ridiculous. If you're taking high school classes in college when will you take the college level classes?? That's like saying a house doesn't need a foundation because the carpeting on the floor is what really counts. Obviously the college courses will go into more depth. Duh? But just think how much more in depth they could go if they didn't need to cover the basics that should be covered in high school.

The problem with education now is that people no longer value the education itself, just the diploma.I agree 200%. True, the diploma, or the degree might get you farther in life, but that diploma or degree doesn't necessarily (or even usually) indicate a more intelligent individual. It's just like grades. I can't believe people think that a person who gets bad grades is automatically dumb. It's ridiculous the mindset people have.

Education isn't what it used to be and since you can't PLAINLY see that, I'd assume that you are another pod. The public education system is in your best interest but the idiots running things can't see things for what they are... they can only see grades or 'statistics'.
