Not really, BUT alot of people agree on 18/6 as being the best schedule for vegetative growth because it stresses the plants less. 24 hours light seems a bit unnatural too me.

24/0 lighting has no stressful effects on MJ whatsoever, and has infact been proven to accelerate growth, which as we know is the process of the plant converting light to food or "photosynthesis." 18/6 is convenient however to those in hotter climates that may need a "cooling period" for their equiptment...

Then it would be more apropriate for Frienowl to go with 18/6..
A cool down period wouldn't be that silly with a 1000w.. it gets pretty hot...!:)

No stressful effects whatsoever? I've read a number of reports recently of even name-brand strains auto flowering under 24 hours of light. Seems like a good argument to keep moms on 18/6.

Mother plants are a different story :) But your plants WILL grow faster under 24/0 for a regular 2 month veg to 12/12 grow..

Thank god lol... I'm puzzled as to why so many think the night period is beneficial to veg growth, it's pretty simple: SUN + MJ = PHOTOSYNTHESIS which in term is GROWTH... Der!! :stoned:
