it wouldn't be a matter of voting it would have to go up against at minimum state legislature if not federal and it would have to be passed by them. Citizens wanting it would only influence their descision.

Yea, I'm fairly positive this is high quality bullshit since none of the more active members have said anything about it and no one seems to even know what you're talking about. Also if this big of an issue were to come up it would be a nationwide story and on all the news channels and in the newspapers.

jahjahjahjah
10-24-2005, 03:32 AM

"legalize it..."

yocass
10-24-2005, 04:41 AM
it doesnt make selling it legal. Or buying it for that matter. And posession, no matter what that bill says, is still federally illegal. But it will put your laws up there with Californias decriminalization act. (yes it will be legal to posess weed in CO, but anywhere in the United States, posession is illegal and punishable by a prison sentence of 1 year.) luckily federal officers dont fuck with posession charges, so most people are all set.

Marijuana Freedom March
:pimp: Source: www.coloradodaily.com :rasta:

Marijuana supporters blazed a trail through downtown Boulder on Saturday as part of the global Million Marijuana March.

Supporters huffed and puffed marijuana as the group trekked down University Hill and Pearl Street Mall.

"There's nothing more important in America than to fight for your rights. Free the weed," shouted Jeff Christen-Mitchell, president of the Boulder chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).

Participants wore mushroom necklaces, Bob Marley shirts, and held pro-marijuana signs. One sign read, "Bill of Rights - digging it Å* Stop the war!"

No one seemed to oppose the march, not even the police.

"It would be marijuana madness (if the police stepped in). It just isn't in the Boulder Police Department's playbook," said Christen-Mitchell.

While marching in front of the courthouse the group passed a Boulder Police officer. The policeman took notice of the group, but did not take any action.

The group said that officials often turn a blind-eye towards marijuana usage in Boulder. That isn't the case for the rest of the country.

Dana Biel the founder of Cures-Not-Wars started the Million Marijuana March in New York in 1999. In its sixth year there are marches in more than 200 cities in 37 countries. The idea for an international marijuana rally germinated out of an annual pro-marijuana demonstration in New York City.

The march is a global effort that has a mission to re-legalize marijuana.

This is the third annual Million Marijuana March in Boulder, but it is the first year NORML has sponsored it.

"The drug war is mismanagement of resources," said Christen-Mitchell as he inhaled a hit of marijuana.

Some drivers who passed the march in Boulder honked their horns in support of the movement. Others cheered on the protesters.

"Way to go. Light one up for me," said one man who drove past the marchers.

Protestors said marijuana usage has some false stereotypes. They said marijuana can be healthy if used in the proper manner.

Fighting marijuana is one war the United States should not be apart of, according to Christen-Mitchell.

"I believe the drug war has done untold damage to society," he said.

You know, I genuinely feel that, somewhere, things are going to come to some sort of climax. An anti-climax, maybe, but a climax none the less. It seems that in certain places people are actually starting to listen, and I just don't mean ordinary people, I mean the people who can make a difference by just agreeing.

I also think that Avril Lavigne is pretty hot, and should be on TV as much as she used to be.

this sounds alot like the california laws for legalization, a few years after they ok'ed medical marijuana and "cafe's" they busted them all (federally) as well as the biggest growers for them, it wasent untill we had a republican governor though, (schrwarzenegger). I am all for legalizing and all, but I do wonder if its just a ploy for the govt. to create more "busts" If you have to apply for licence and such to grow legally then the govt. then knows your going no? and its still federally a crime, even though the state says its ok.

Robert42, you're location confuses me, do you live next door to me?

Norf = Norfolk is right down the Expressway, Norfolk Ave. is on the other side of Virginia Beach Blvd.
London= London Bridge Rd. leads to Gen. Booth Blvd., which turns into Pacific Ave, which is just over a mile down the road.
The Abyss = is even closer.

Shit I've been posting about this for a week now, I guess no one reads my posts. Similar laws have already passed in Ann Arbor, MI and Berkley, CA It is also currently legal to have 4 oz. or less in your own home if you live in Alaska. Also there is a bill trying to pass in Telluride that will make marijuana "the lowest law enforcement priority" like in Seattle and Oakland. All you naysayers confuse me, you obviously have not kept up with the progress to end the oppression of marijuana users. I would have thought you would be all for it. I also noticed that Bongsmith hasn't said anything since some people posted links, interesting. Also It won't be a state law It will be a municipal law In Denver meaning that state police and the DEA could still arrest you for possession, but considering that the law focuses in possession in you house you don't really have to worry about that, private residences are most always policed by city cops.

Unfortunately I live in Colorado Springs and can't vote on the measure, but everyone I know who lives in Denver is voting yes on I-100, and if it passes I will be relocating 98 mi. north.

This is one of the worst threads i've read on this site... no joke. Dude... Jahjahjahjah.... you're a fucking dumbass man. What's the NEED for posting in this thread 40 times by yourself, triple posting and quadruple posting and shit? Seriously... all you're saying is shit that doesn't really matter anyway... but can't you condense it so you only post like 4 or 5 times? Seriously man.... you post a shitty link, you speak like you're 12, and you post a good 5 times in a row when you decide to post. What the fuck man? Thank you... for wasting my time and everyone else's time on the site... Now i'm going to go back to the main page... and hopefully read a thread that has some intelligence and hasn't been posted by a 12 year old.
