WHAT!!!
Okay Aside from all the rap they put out these guys started out on the guitar drums and bass.
They still make rock songs and honestly I prefer their rock. I think it's their best work. Their rap is still good.
ANY CD you will notice that there are rock tracks and rock backgrounds in the rap songs.

but all in all they are a very good band!

"2112" by Rush, from 1776, I mean, from the album "2112", made in 1776, I mean, 1976, is longer than 20 minutes and the first line of the song is, "And the meek shall inherit the Earth."

I like Pink Floyd, but I'd probably choose Soft Machine over them... the early records.
Right now I can't stop listening to Broadcast's Tender Buttons, stoned or not.
Is this thread for just metal/guitar pop? A better than good deep electronic dub choice would be Rhythm & Sound's Showcase, or something from Basic Channel.

I'm a musician and I like to put on a DVD-A of these guys stuff and bliss out. Some times I play along on my Rhodes, but other times I just sit in the middle of the room and let perfection swirl around me. It's fucking awesome. Definately for mellower tastes. Pink Floyd is awesome too, but I learned so much by studying SD's music that I'm partial to them. I've never heard anything more perfect. Mmmm - where's that bong? :smokin:

Gov't Mule is awesome. I have a bunch of their live stuff which is so much better than their studio recordings. I was so bummed that I missed them play out here last week. They were in a little club (~800 people tops) but I was out of town travelling for my job. Sometimes work really sucks.
Other than Mule I also also listen to these bands a lot when I'm stoned:
Grateful Dead
Allman Brothers
Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Black Sabbath
