Well, I'm scared in general by the self-righteous hatred that is conservative Christianity. These people want nothing short of the complete domination of the world by their prejudices and their dogma, and will use whatever they need to accomplish that, including terrorism and other forms of violence.

How about the fact that he wants to kill all the Muslims and the Chinese?
The muslim men-who desire to turn the world into a 7th century, fundementalist,Islam world-need to be crushed..there's no room in society-for that kind of tryanny..the same goes for the hard-line red chinese commies and the hard-line russian commies-as well as the hard-line commies in North Korea.
Anybody racist enough to say something like "The muslim men...need to be crushed" deserves no respect of any kind.

I'm scared of the ever-growing connection between religion and government. In fighting this war on "terrorism" how can we be so blind as to what mixing the two has done to their culture. People are blindly accepting the idea of a less plural society every day.
I don't understand democracy and capitalism anymore. Everything I was taught in school was a grand lie.
Many questions, no answers.

seconded....he sure does alot of preeching about how good god is and how much he follows his lord, but yet he seems to have a hatred of "one of god's creatures" ....what ever happened to "if someone slaps you, do not swing back, yet turn the other cheek" so even IF all muslims were trying to hurt him or his country, he shouldn't hate them in return but "know his god will give them what they deserve and that it's not his place to punish" .....christians...so full of it....god's word and will is ok for most of them until it gets in the way with their true feelings.....then they have some excuse of why it's ok to do such things...way i see it, be 100% or 0% not just when it's convienent.

He may be severely misguided, but that's no reason to hate on him. Torog is the only one here I remember from back in '02, and he's still spoutin' the conservo-propaganda, that takes tenacity and I respect that. Whenever I see his avatar I think of ZZ Top because of the beard and the whole being from Texas thing (I don't even hold that against him). Hell, he even has the cheap sunglasses :smokin:

It's his right of free speech to post whatever he wants. Limited government is a beautiful thing. I would be worried if no one ever posted racist stuff. Its going to happen, so deal with it.

actually there are even more agnostics and atheists today then there were 50 or so years ago......problem is as more and more "stray away from god" the more people like him feel they need to try and "preach the word" to others.....i can respect him for one thing....he does have some serious faith..and in a world where fiath is dwindling and people are giving up he still believes....i dont' believe in what he believes in....but i can respect the fact that no matter how many non-believers question (and damn good questions sometimes) him, he doesn't really stagger....and that takes some serious balls.....

To me, that's the sign of close mindedness. It's only natural to change your beliefs from time to time, especially when confronted with damn good questions that you can't answer. You have to constantly question your beliefs, to see if they really fit in with reality. When reality seems to contradict your beliefs, you ought to seriously examine the facts, to try to find out if you're really wrong or if your information is. I find myself changing my mind a lot to fit the facts I'm presented with. My world outlook is constantly changing as experience continually provides me with a clearer picture of reality. I haven't always believed what I believe now, you know. Why just a few years ago I was a Marxist, and a few years before that I was a Christian. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've believed some really outlandish ideas over the course of my life. Alien abductions, ESP, ghosts, prophecies about the end of the world, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy...but as my mind has matured I have rejected those beliefs that didn't fit in with what I've learned about the world. Steadfast dogmatism is nothing to be jealous of.
“In science it often happens that scientists say, ‘You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,’ and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time someting like that happened in politics or religion.” —Carl Sagan

Anybody racist enough to say something like "The muslim men...need to be crushed" deserves no respect of any kind.
But he didn't say muslim men need to be crushed, he said muslim men who are fanatics out to kill everybody needs to be crushed. same with chinese, he cited a specific group, not the race as a whole.

Read that a little more carefully. It says "The muslim men-who desire to turn the world into a 7th century, fundementalist,Islam world-need to be crushed", not "The muslim men who desire to turn the world into a 7th century, fundementalist,Islam world need to be crushed". There's a subtle difference there when you put something aside in dashes like that. Compare the difference between these two sentences:
Black people—who are criminals—deserve to go to jail.
Black people who are criminals deserve to go to jail.
The first one implies that all black people are criminals. The second one says that only those black people who happen to be criminals deserve to go to jail. Likewise, Torog's sentence implied that all Muslim men desire to turn the world into a 7th century, fundamentalist, Islam world, and that they need to be crushed.
