Those kind of chain letter scams prey on the desperate and out of work. (and especially prey on those who are lazy...)
Everyone is looking for the quickest, easiest way to make money. There's not a demand for people who want to make money quick, so there'd be no reason or need to advertise and market the programs to you if they do work.
You should see how many money-making scams there are out there on the internet for stay-at-home moms. Just browsing ads on Monster there are loads of ads that even list keywords for the ad for search being every word in the dictionary: "WORK FROM HOME, MAKE $$$THOUSANDS$$$ IN MINUTES WORKING ONLY 2 HOURS A WEEK!"

If it claims to change your life or it sounds too good to be true, it is, and the promise is simply bait for those who aren't willing to work for money and instead gamble with what money they have hoping they wont have to work hard for a good living. You know, cuz they somehow deserve to not work very hard for their money like the rest of us shmucks.
