Ever wonder just what may have been growing up on that mountain that Moses may have eaten to see and hear a burning bush? A burning bush that laid down the law?
There are other incidents in the bible too...visions and transfigurations. they seem to have taken place on mountains for the most part.
I remember reading some Carlos Casteneda once where the guy ate some peyote in the desert and soon afterwards found himself carried away in a lake or river. when he came down from the stuff the next day, he was a good distance from where he had consumed the peyote, but there was no sign of water anywhere. This makes me wonder about the incident where Jesus walked on water. And John wrote some incredible stuff in the first chapter of the book of Revelation. He was on the island of Patmos. could he have been gathering food? Mushrooms?
Just some thoughts...and I don't mean to mock anyones faith or anything like that. Just thoughts. It's good to think, right?

I think it is very possible that Jesus and his followers came into contact with many substances. It was common for entheogens to be used as remedies and medicines.

Could you imagine what the world would be like if the bible went into further detail and described the burning bush as a cannibis plant?

...and what's up with the following verse from the book of Matthew? Heavens' opening? A dove? A voice? And who says it was the voice of a male? Sounds feminine in a way. Motherly. Or at least it COULD be.

FATHER..male
SON...male
HOLY SPIRIT...wtf? They don't tell you it was male. What were they trying to hide?

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

The holy sprit was jesus after he died and arose form the dead therefore is implied a male............unless dying changes your sex

But didn't Jesus say he was going to prepare a place for us in his father's house (where there are many mansions{could mansions be worlds within the house(or universe?)}) and that he would send a comforter (or holy spirit?)... .?

With the exception of a few species of maybe snails and other things being asexual, most of creation (or evolution) or {Intelligent Design} is made up of male and female. Why is it different when it comes to God? Maybe snails get special treatment with that golden ratio shell design...but the rest of us have to bump uglies in order to reproduce. and besides, it is written that God made us in His image. We are male and female...which should be conclusive evidence (if faith is considered to be considered "conclusive evidence"{faith having for its substance only things 'hoped for'});) that God does indeed consist of male and female components...this being not unlike the atom, the base of material existence which consists of proton, neutron, and electron (some of them, anyhow) or Father, Son, and Holy spirit. The trinity in a nutshell.

Hey...come on...I'm just messing with you 'cuz you're soooo stoned...

Seriously though, Jesus said:

If those who lead you say to you: See, the kingdom is in heaven, then the birds of the heaven will go before you; if they say to you: It is in the sea, then the fish will go before you. But the kingdom is within you, and it is outside of you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the {*sons of the living Father.*} But if you do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty, and you are poverty.

But understand that this was written under the pens of a male dominated culture. We need to be gentlemen here and allow room for the feminine side of Creation.
