hell yeah thats real creative homie good job

latewood

you need to lower your light to within 2" of seedling to keep it from stretching...this will allow the plant to develop roots, instead of reaching for the light and having poor root development...and put small fan in there to stimulate girth/thicker plant...nice box...I see that you put dull side of aluminum foil...if you remove foil and paint inside of box with flat white paint, you will get better light reflection...imho, goodluck

Ok I Latewood thanks for the advise. I really need a fan ;) . Today has been REALLY irritating i have gone through a wall  heh I hope no one tells me this was a dumb idea :p The Fertiliser has a N-P-K of 10.6-4.4-1.7 is it any good?

latewood
10-23-2005, 10:56 PM
cool hole... that fert, never heard of. What is the amount per gallon to be used?
what do directions say it was made for?...maybe try 1/4 strength...update us with more info on the ferts...where did you get it?

latewood
10-23-2005, 11:22 PM
I googled baby bio and found there website...went to ready to use and the faqs...
notice the bottom faq. It states, "care should be taken with regards to some plants, such as Orchids, Cacti and Bromeliads, as these do not require such frequent feeding. It is always advisable to check the plant label"...

...With that said. I would advise that this stuff might work although I would use 1/4 strength at first and alternate feeding with ph ro/distilled water
w/superthrive 1/4 tsp per gallon...BUT...Pay Attention! But, Do not give seedlings any ferts until it has 4-5 tiers/knodes and has established a root system on it's own...

...then you start feeding regimen... keep us advised...

...I imagine Zandor or someone else might chime in on the topic of baby bio...

...I might try a plant grow; using baby bio and superthrive through out
veg, along with bat guano and fishmeal or something like that...perhaps Mand will send me a bag of her "Magic Homemade English Compost"...later

OK here is what I found at Baby Bio site

Q. When feeding my house plants with Baby Bio Ready To Use should I make sure the compost is either wet or dry before application of the feed?

A. When applying Baby Bio Ready To Use to the compost of a house plant it is advisable to ensure the compost is just moist. If a plant is in compost that is either too dry or too wet then it may be stressed and therefore will be unable to absorb the nutrients from the feed. If you are unsure about the correct watering of a plant, may I suggest you try the Baby Bio When To Water Indicators.

Q. When is the best time to feed my house plants with Baby Bio Ready To Use? The best time to feed house plants, and indeed any plant, is when they are actively growing (i.e. that is when new growth can be clearly seen).

A. For house plants this can be all-year-round. It is advisable to check the plant label for specific advice or refer to 'The House Plant Expert' by Dr Hessayon.

Q. Can I use Baby Bio Ready To Use on my herbs growing on my kitchen windowsill?

A. Yes. Baby Bio Ready To Use is a fertilizer based on nutrients which are essential for all plant growth. It is blended in such a way as to provide the optimum feed for house plants but any plant, especially pot plants could benefit from an additional feed with it.
Are there any house plants that I should avoid using Baby Bio Ready To Use on? No. Baby Bio Ready To Use can be used on all house plants. However care should be taken with regards to some plants, such as Orchids, Cacti and Bromeliads, as these do not require such frequent feeding. It is always advisable to check the plant label or refer to 'The House Plant Expert' by Dr D G Hessayon if

ehh everything grey? anyways Thank you latewood for finding that for me :) and thanks for the warning because I was already feeding it with the baby bio  only once though ... and it said 5 to 10 drops per pint of water so I put 3 drops but im not using it know k. Yeah I live in the UK and got it from Homebase that we have here.. wanted to get the bat guano and asked someone and the guy there just looked at me like I was asking him about some excotic plant or something so i knew they didnt have it..I also wanted an extractor fan but decided to go cheap. I found some thread were Turtle420 is growing dont know which hmmmm rastakaze I think told him to just put a plastic bag over the fan and get the tube  anyways pics below. I know the new growspace sucks in terms of neatness and such but yeah

keep it up, man...your box is cool but, flat white...google hydroponics. Then, when you get 456,765 hits...pick a few and check out all the grow products! Even if you are not growing hydro, you will find a wealth of products and info
to fit your needs, then when you find it...look around a few sites and find the least expensive way to procure it, be sure to check S&H before you buy...
...gotta go.peace

That would probably do great fugitive!:)

The price Isn't that much either!

How tall is your plant now?

And with a HPS, wouldn't it be better to have a few more plants?

How many days ago is it your plant sprouted? What are you naming her? (hopefully a she):)

RastaKaze
10-24-2005, 08:26 PM
that light is good.. I don't know about the quality of that bulb though.. I'd suggest going here http://www.insidesun.com/index.php?action=item&id=8&prevaction=category&previd=2&prevstart=0 and get that 250w system with a hortilux upgrade.. and btw you did the rastafan right, Sometimes when temps creep up in the summer I cut the front of the bag so I get more direct airflow to my plants.. :) peace and good luck with your girls

oh wait your in uk... i would say order from the doc but do try to find an enhanced spectrum bulb they make a shitload of a difference

Fugitive
10-24-2005, 08:45 PM
OK havent thought of a name actually :) plant is probably 5-15 cm :D ehh sprouted 4 days ago was so happy. Yes I hear that the hortilux bulb is the best? and thank you Rasta for posting your rastafan tutorial should go into faq if you ask me

Fugitive
10-25-2005, 04:50 PM
Oh man whenever I get into the grow room my plant is fallen over and is resting against the soil (only check once a day). I then put the soil against the plant so it will stand up. Is this unwise too do? and when will it stand properly?

RastaKaze
10-25-2005, 05:49 PM
She's stretching. More light is what you need... and pushing the soil to straighten the stem is a very nasty habit not only is it a huge mechanical disturbance but your actually bending the stem when you do that.. this is almost training your plant to fall over, because when the stem streches it's growing from the base, therefore any new growth will be bent in the direction opposite you've been pushing the soil... You shouldn't try supporting her early on as long as the foliage looks healthy just let her grow and acclimate herself to the environment :)

Fugitive
10-26-2005, 03:28 PM
Well it seems like alot of thhings are going against me already. I have spotted a few bugs in my grow room probably beacause there are leaks everywhere and I dont know what to do about it :( but here is an update and sorry about the blurry picture.

Hello Mr. Fugitive!:)

Your plant is growing awsomely good!:) After MY mind..!

When will you start flower??

Fugitive
11-09-2005, 04:19 PM
Thanks for the replys Mand and PP :) I think I will start flowering in two weeks time  I am really worried that its a male because I read that males develop faster and this one seems to be doing just that... BUt I have faith in HER. Oh yeah I found some great nutrients called Iguana Juice they have one for veg and one for bloom, its totally organic which I have heard makes the taste nicer (apparently). Will this be enough for her whole life cycle? and what is everyones view on these nutrients?

Hello Fugitive :) Well I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that's it's a girl ;)

Honestly love it's quite immpossible to tell, in this present crop there is one plant that I would have bet money on it was a boy. I usually get a rough idea because the boys mostly grow taller and look healthier, and are usually a little stringier. Well this one is the tallest one I have and it just seemed to fit the bill of being a boy................totally shocked me as it was the first one to develop female flowers  .........so you never can tell ;)

Sorry I can't help you out on the nutrient question Fugitive, I know nothing about them, all I give mine is a little Phostogen plant food now and again :o

Good luck .........................love mand xxx :)

Sucks for the males in the cannabis world, most don't even get to have sex before they die. I just hope I'm not reincarnated into a homegrowers male cannabis plant.
The moral of this story is that I hope you got yourself a pretty ladie. Good luck

All smiles here as I enter the third week of veg :) I came home today and was expecting a very high or low skunk odor because it changes regularly. When I came into my room I was so surprised it smelt of skunk yet there was a delicious hint of candy kinda fruity smell :D the enirolites are here and stupid me thought they would fit in a normal ES fitting :o they are massive lol. I have also recieved the MKxLW today and I am going to grow all 10 after New Year :rasta:

Fugitive
11-12-2005, 03:21 PM

Are you only gonna' use those now?

Fugitive
11-13-2005, 12:17 PM
FUCK! OK I have the daylight envirolite up for 15 minutes and it just stops working. So then I decided that I have an excuse for flowering and put both warm whites in, half an hour later I see smoke coming from the growbox I panic and pull everything out..it was the same fitting as the daylight bulb.. I am so paranoid about a fire starting now. Does any one have any suggestion on what I should do to make the box fire proof? I was thinking several layers of tin foil?

Powder Puff
11-14-2005, 02:21 PM
Uhm.. Couldn't it be because you don't have a ballast??

Fugitive
11-15-2005, 11:13 PM
OK so both Envirolites are working now plus the two 20 w cfls which makes 290 worth of watts for the 4 day of flowering. It is of to a bad start. I knew something was wrong because nothing is happening to it but couldnt figure out what it was except it must be bugs. I has been eating the leaves for good five days now :mad i have examined the plant like mad but today found hopefully one and only bug bastard!! leaf hopper just as it could hear me come jumped under one of the new leaves and I saw which one so just squished the leave and i had green squidgyly leaf hopper on my finger :smokin: so I hope it was the only one it was leaving a slimy silver foliage on the leaves it has probably come from my clothes.or shoes yeees i brought them in here ones. enough said. I am never walking in grass again.

Fugitive
11-16-2005, 08:15 PM
Does any one have any feed back? this is a big problem im having here - what am i meant to do no has the leafhopper laid eggs ? the silvery residue although there is not much left isnt that leafhopper larvae? do i spray the plant with something ? can someone help me please.

It's true the males will usually show themselves very soon after switching to the 12/12 cycle, females tend to take up to a couple of weeks.

Fugitive
12-12-2005, 04:26 PM
yes believe me mand I was excited :) I didnt want to mist the plant in case it washes the resin off?? Im afraid that tommorrow is the last of updates Easy Roller, so you will have to wait till 2 Jan till next time, unless this guy im giving it to doesnt put it in a window sill and fucks it up lol i have no idea who this guy is , but hes a friend of a friend who grows and apparantly has done so for a few years.
I have a few questions that ive thought about; should I mist my plants at this stage (bud rot?), I also saw white roots on top of the soil I covered it up with soil but whats the damage and how did this happen ? other than that I couldnt be happier with this grow so far :D the c99 has such lovely aroma ummm (kinda lemony  ) and the blue mystic hasnt such a pungent smell but im sure it balances out when curing. I was worried that my entire house was going to be reeking of marijuana but thats not the case , mayb e because i only have two plants going  here are some pics for those interested and i will do a special send off pictorial tommorrow with lots of pictures :pimp:

Hello Fugitive :) Oh dear you're trusting someone with you're baby .........I can't find a smiley with a worried look ;) :)

I don't think it's possible to wash the resin off is it ?.............To be honest it's not something I've ever thought about
Tell you what the only way I've found to get it off my fingers at harvest time is to scrape it off with my teeth ............... well it's to good to waste ;)

I personally wouldn't worry about a few roots poking through at this stage, it happens sometimes and I just throw a few handfulls of compost on top of them ;)

Hmmm "bud rot" I hate it :( , the only thing to do with it is to cut it out, such a waste of bud ................. I've had it happen a couple of times.
The worst case was when I did my very first grow (outdoors) and it did cost me quite a fair amount of bud, however it's not normally a major problem indoors ;)

When you water your plants, how much / often do you water?

It is best to give it more water less often, so it makes ALL of the soil wet! If you don't do this, the roots will start growing upwards towards the water; and you don't want them to do that!;)

Afterall, you can't keep throwing soil on top, eventually, there won't be enough room for more!:D:p

Fugitive
12-13-2005, 06:00 PM
OK so these are the last pics for 2 or 3 weeks now :( but they are looking good :) and these pics are 'dial up friendly' thhey wont take as long to load as my others I hope :D i water them when the pot feels light, you are right about covering the entire part of the soil which I havent been doing all the time, I poked a few holes in a bottle top so I can make sure to spread the water evenly.. Ok see you all next year :)

Ok turns out the experienced grower was a total noob :( He came round and was shocked at the size of em lol (spent lot of time explaining how i reached these results) then decided he didnt want them in case he got pulled over, he told me he only used sunlight so that made me just back off and told him i would get someone to come here and give them water :) But thats not going to happen (a lot of thiefs and dumbasses around) So i was thinking of some sort of dripping system  please can someone inform me about something like this or I have to cut her down :(

Hello Fugitive :) I put this link on another thread yesterday ........

Only thing I can think of is if you have a look at the Garden centres to see if they have anything similar ;)

those are some nice looking plants fugitive...

pretty soon I am going to be growing with CFLs from start to finish. How many CFLs are you using and what is the wattage of each. Also, what is the light spectrum of your bulbs (warm white - 2700k vs. cool white - 5000K)

I would appreciate any help you can give me as this is my first time growing and I really hope my plants end up looking like yours.

ok so I went back and read a little closer after I posted. From what I could tell you have two 21 watt warm bulbs and a 125 watt warm bulb along with one 11 watt cool bulb and a 125 watt cool bulb.

do you have all these lights on your plants at the same time?

Fugitive
12-15-2005, 11:27 PM
Thanks Mand and Machiavelli fingers crossed I will find one tomorrow :)
Towel the setup that you have now I believe is made of cool white spectrum fluoros? if so then that will be very good for the first month or so :) What I have in my grow room at the moment is two 125W warm spectrum Envirolites purchased here www.starlitesystems.co.uk you will have to buy a E40 ceramic lamp holder, ask by e-mail. And the two 21 CFL are just there for the Ooomph :D although im pretty sure theyre not doing much.

lol thats cool you remembered what I have...yes they are cool white floros. I am still not sure whether I want to try to flower under CFLs. I am going to the hydro shop today so I can get a price on an HPS setup.

Another sad update it just isnt my day today been travelling to garden center after garden center on my bike with no luck of finding a watering system, I even went to homebase first trying to tell them that it even existed was a pain in the ass ! then waitnig for response from 'manager' which was there is one, but we don't sell it lol! pissed me off..I guess I just live in a shitty South London area which have dumbass SHOPS! grrrrrr... Does any one know an alternative? is there any way of watering my plants with say something home made?

Hello everyone :D my plants last time were like 4 or 5 weeks into flowering including the first two weeks :) so pretty much the peak is now isnt it ? when im gone and all they get is shitty window sill light.. even worse they are on the kitchen table because my mom wouldnt let me have it in the window in case someone sees it while I am gone. I just hope this plant is the survivor I always believed her to be :D I have had two dreams about her (wet ones) one were there is no bud only stalk when I return :( and the other it has fatened alot :) but at least this will prove something in the end  PP you will have to buy the weed :p no OK you can have some if there will be any at the end. 2nd of January very excited... :rasta:

lol, ive had dreams like that before. one was where me and a mate were having a joint on my balcony, where I did my outdoor grow and he dropped some burning ash onto a plant of mine. For some reason the plant burst into flames and all I was left with was a black stem, I touched it and it crumbled, nearly shat myself that night and woke up sweating like a pig, good luck.

I belived it when I woke up, BUT to my dissapointment, it was just a dream!:p

OK It worked out fine :) This just goes to show that the cannabis plant does not need top conditions all of the time/ consequences less bud & hermies :D but judging by the pics they look exactly the same as when I left  which isnt that bad because I thought they had died a long time ago.
I will probably continue flowering Ms. Blueberry for 3 maybe 4 weeks all dependiing on male flowers :) C99 I will probably keep much longer.
I LOVE 2006 :D 2005 really really sucked, worst year ever, I was just so unlucky all the time so im hoping it was just the year and not just me :) so happy new year to you all :D

hello everyone :) My blueberry mama is smelling out the house ;) a good smell mind you its very hard to define, but I have once squeezed the bud (not so hard) and my finger had some trichomes on it so naturally I took a bite ! :) and it was very fruity :D
I am not going to aim for more than 1/2 ounce I dont think it will be more but I don't have scales sooo hmmm.. ill guesstimate  or find someone with scales :p not too sure I want to.
I am going to leave it another week and see where it is at then, what do you guys think ? how long should I leave it? there is no one old in the house so we dont have a microscope is that what I need to see trichomes? My Cinderella IS smelling so nice it is one of the nicest smells (orgasm) its like pineapple with slight skunk smell but not much skunk smell more pineaplle like 85% pineapple smell :D .

I don't remember reading this sorry if this questions already been answered. What is the total wattage you have had on these plants? Also how big is your grow space (in feet)?

Hello :) I have really enjoyed growing these two plants but there is an end to everything and sadly their time has come :( at midnight the lights go off and I inted to keep it like that for about 18 hours. Then I will harvest.
I really LOVE the blueberry strain I took a sample and quick dryed it in the oven and despite that it gave me a nice buzz as well as tasting decent, I am sure that I will grow it again but probably from Dutch Passion or DJ Short.

The C99 I have yet to try smoking, I am sure that she would benefit from being left two or three weeks more but I am starting my MasterKushxLowRyder grow and I need the lights. C99 gives off the nicest aroma and I am hoping for a similar taste, I will probably grow it again but would like to try a hybrid off it such as Grapefruit from femaleseeds.nl.

Here is how I read on the internet to process for sweet, smooth, clean burning tomatos...

1. Cut the bud at your desired location. DO NOT CUT OR TRIM AT THIS POINT EXCESS FOILAGE. The leaves still contain saccharides which need to assist in the sustainment of THC production.

2. HANG IN DARKNESS! Do not expose your fresh buds to light anymore than is needed.

3. After two days, carefully, in dim light, spend some time cutting all the fans as close to the stem as possible.

4. Hang in dark 2 more days.

At this point the buds will feel crunchy and dry...but they are not. DOn;t be fooled.

5. Now cut all unwanted stems and place in brown paper bags, loosley, and roll the bag up. Keep in dark.

6. Every day, open the bag and let it air out for about 10 minutes. Re roll it shut. DO this for 5 days.

7. At this time all external moisture is gone and the stem will bend easily...but still be too green to snap.

8. I then place the buds in jars and leave them in darkness. You will have no mold issues at this time. Simply remove the top every other day. Let stand for 5 minutes or so...reseal and redo in 2 days.

The longer you do this the smoother the smoke, the less weed / hay smell and the natural oils will over take the green smell and your tomatos will smell as GOD intended them to.

Many ways to cure...this is just one I read on the net.

2. (/with a desk fan on/) HANG IN DARKNESS! Do not expose your fresh buds to light anymore than is needed.

thats all.

Hi reuben.. Maybe I can help!:)

I have NO experience with rockwool, but I've heard about it. If you do it right, it should work!:)

If you are a beginner, I would sugest that you went with the paper towel method. When you have done this correctly, and the taproot is showing (the tail), you need some tweezers, put the seed into the soil, so that the taproot will be pointing down into the soil. Now you soak the soil, and NEVER soak it again in seedling stage. Just keep the soil a little moist. When the seedling appears, you have to be REAL careful not to overwater, if you do, the seedling will die. By now, you should have a successfull nice seedling.

Now to the disrespetcfull part, (not meant to be, and it might not be:)) Where there any words you had trouble with? I noticed that you're English isn't the best:)

Good luck, share you're progress!:D
