what strain of shroom is the best to start growing?South America/PESA/PF/Creeper or Mazatapec?i heard that PESA were easy to grow/fast growing/POTENT! any help for a first time grower.

Honestly all mushrooms are easy to grow, in my opinion. You will be more satisfied with cubies, they are more potent.

thanks for the help i looked he dosent have the hawaiian cubensis all he has are South America/PESA/PF/Creeper/ Mazatapec/GulfCoast/PF Strain/Amazon/PuertoRic and Elephant Dung Strain. thats all he has i have to order form him becaus i live in GEORGIA where there cant be shipped :( . but he will look the other way :cool:. so which one out of this would you get?

I would get amazon. Do you know the complete names? (I.e. Psylocybe Cubensis)

I don't see the scientific names anywhere on those ads, but the mushies look good to me, especially those two.

I would say that the $40 kit is a little excessive if you are just growing on a small scale (or if you don't have a lot of spores right now). The shaker kit looks like it would be great, I would buy one if it weren't on ebay. It just depends on how much you want to grow. Since it's your first grow, I would suggest buying the Shaker kit, it is less complex and should be easier to work with for a newbie.

Cubensis are the easiest. Don't waste your money on a kit, get the shit yourself. There's a lot of guides on shroomery.org. the PFtek method is teh ez.

The main thing when growing is just knowing when to harvest, when to cut aborts, sterilization, etc...it's easy...past that, it's just using different types of fertilizers and spores. The time for harvest is different, and all that....but there are guides to everything nowadays. Shroomery.org is your best bet for anything mushie related.
