I'm having a rough time falling asleep. I just got a new job full time and I guess i'm excited for some reason. That's my only theory because I used to just play games and crap untill I was tired. The last 3 nights it took me 3 hours of laying in bed to fall asleep.
Does anyone here have any tips? I've heard that green tea helps, anyone try this? I can't toke up because I have to get a drug test soon. I don't feel like chugging any nyquil either...
If you have any thing that worked for you, please, tell me :(

If not get some kind of sleeping remedy pill...

as lola said try chamomile. green tea is really good for you, but it has caffeine in it so if you had it before bed make sure you get caffeine free green tea.

I used to have that problem, Nugs...I'd be lying in bed for a few hours each night, never actually getting to sleep...wanna know what I did?
First, I had a mental breakdown. Then I didn't sleep for a couple of days, and I followed this by drinking myself silly, and passing out on my buddy's lawn. Ever since then, it never seemed to be so bad when I couldn't sleep right away. Just try not to get dependent on sleep-aids...best way to go is natural. Get more exercise, chew some valerian root.
If your full-time job is a 9to5 type deal, you might not be wired for that sleep cycle. Anywhere from 17 to 23 years old, you're meant to sleep until late morning, and be awake until late night. I'm like that now, which sucks because I wake up at 7am...I'm simply a crabby asshole until I've been awake and coherent for a few hours. But I find that I don't actually need all that sleep...5 or 6 hours a night is OK for me now.

Or you could go the fun way...drink Bawls when you need to be awake.

Beleive me, it works. Its like drinking 7 cups of coffee, but because its natural Guarana, there's no jittery feeling, or the need to urinate frequently.

Try watching a baseball game. A nice boring baseball game always puts me to sleep and theres almost always one on somewhere. Maybe this only works for me because I'm from Baltimore....O's are fallin apart.

Hey Nugs...
camomile tea is definately a good idea and keeping ur bed as a sleeping only area can help(it means tht ur mind starts to associate being in bed with sleepin).
Try n relax, get urself all snuggled and close ur eyes, ur saving more energy tht way so if ur gettin tired in the mornings then u might notice a difference.
I always find that bit hard...sometimes thy keep twitching open so i shove a pillow on my head. Argh! If u have that problem too make sure u cant see a clock...knowing how long uv been blobbed there might be agitating you more and making things worse. Try n go too bed n get up at the same times aswell and remember you've only been back at work a while n if u've been over indulging in late nights then it'll take a while to get ur body back into rythm.
Hope that helps...sweetdreams

nugs this isn't the best advise and i'll admit it but i work fucked up hours all the time and so my "sleep cycle" is vitually nonexisistant. and i am used to having to stay awake so i get used to being extremely overtired and i try to sleep and i can't cause i feel like i will oversleep or i'll sleep and get up like every half hour but when i REALLy need sleep and can't fall asleep i take 2 muscle relaxers(prescription). knocks me out and i stay out until the alarm goes off. if you don't have a script for them though you gotta find someone who has them. just can't do it all the time or you won't be able to fall asleep without them.
